I had an amazing time at the Cat-tail pool bar in Rosen Shingle Creek, Orlando. The food was fantastic, and I must say, their Nachos are a must-try – absolutely delicious! Pablo’s cocktail creations were top-notch, truly fantastic. His friendly smile and sense of humor added an extra layer of charm to the whole experience. While the prices are on the higher end, the overall experience made it worth it. I highly recommend this spot for a great poolside dining and drinking experience.

Fresh flavors!
I’m giving Cat-Tails five stars for food quality. The price was high but reasonable for poolside resort dining. We had to grab the server to get a poolside order but we weren’t in a hurry. My Cobb salad was a perfect lunch portion. The lemon Dijon vinaigrette was delicious with the thick chunky bacon and blue cheese. The lettuce was farm fresh and the tomatoes were bursting with flavor.
I would visit cattails again. The fish and chips looked out of this world delicious.

I don’t typically review resort restaurants, let alone pool bars. This one is different. Perfect setting, not as busy as upstairs, and an INCREDIBLE chicken sandwich. Never frozen, hand breaded, spicy, perfect.
And best yet Mike and Rich are phenomenal bartenders who gave me a very positive impression of this hotel brand. Color me impressed.

Here for CEO 2025. I’ve spent more time at the bar than I have at the convention. Food is great, and service is phenomenal. Steve and the other bartenders were amazing. Will 100% be back next year.

Late (1:00pm) lunch sandwich purchased from adjacent 18 Monroe Street Market. Just myself (alone). I Sat down at a table with not one person sitting at the bar or any other tables. Not a dinner in sight – photo attached.
I was asked to leave because all tables are reserved for just Cat-Tails. What am I missing here. Yes, if it was packed full of dinners I would understand nor was there going to be a mad rush of dinners.
This is a case of no or lack of any judgement on Cat-Tails part. Really! Update: 1:30pm I finished my lunch and not a person sat in Cat-Tails.

Food was good. Fast and hot. Service was disappointing. Had a beer at dinner and wasn’t asked for another. But for six people it was better then expected. I like that the plates and bowls are made of bamboo. Eco friendly. Off sets the plastic utensils and cups.

Great poolside bar at Rosen Shingle Creek.
We just had frozen drinks this visit and our bartender Kim made my day when she was able to make a drink that I’ve had on my previous two visits, but for some reason management decided to take it off the drink list! It is a frozen Orange Creamsicle and it ROCKS!!! Of course the outside area poolside is beautiful to look at. Walk around and be sure to check out the beautiful on-site vegetable garden!

Pleasant outdoor bar & grill. Perfect spot to get something to eat or drink, while lounging by the pool. The bartender was friendly and was on top of things.

I liked their pool burger and my wife and I had it several times while staying at the hotel! Comes with french fries. My daughter had chicken tenders which was good too. The staff was kind and helpful. It is outdoor, and especially good for dinner when it cools down. There are plenty of seats.

I decided to bring my buddy out for drinks. Our bartenders Balis and Kim were superb!! They went above and beyond with their service. Kim made one of the most refreshing Green Grasshoppers I’ve ever had and Balis made a sweet yet satisfyingly sweet custom berry lemonade drink. Even management was on point! I believe a manager named Macy stopped by and added a light, friendly mood to the atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend 100/10!!
