I was injured here by a flying umbrella. Unfortunately, the owner failed to put the umbrellas into a base and it flew up and hit me in the head, then blew out into the road. The waitress was very kind and brought me some ice. I did have a big bump and bruised significantly over the next week. Please take precautions and make sure this doesn’t happen to another customer. Invest in umbrella holders. The food is fine, I wasn’t expecting to pay so much for the whole bellies- they have gone up in price a lot. For the food shown it was $100! Not much for your money

Fish and chips, chowder, clam cakes combo $27. Comes out just fish and chips. We ask the waitress about the rest of the combo. She says they’ll have the rest right out. Just the 3 clam cakes come out and they don’t even look edible. The fish was over fried and not edible. The combo with fish and scallops had scallops cut in half. Staff was scattered and all over the place and the food was nasty.

First time dining here. Welcomed in by the sweet take out window employee. The food was excellent! Best coleslaw we’ve ever had. Service was quick with the friendly staff!! We will definitely be back!

Food was greasy and barely edible. My daughter who loves coleslaw couldn’t even eat more than a bite. Staff was not overly friendly and kitchen area was not particularly clean. There are better places that don’t price gouge.

Finally a place in misquamicut where you can get boiled lobster and steamers! The steamer portion was huge. Clam chowder was great too. Seafood Haven has the only clam fritters I’ve ever actually liked. And its great to actually have fried shrimp that is more shrimp than batter. A great selection of quality seafood and a friendly staff make Seafood Haven a gem at the beach.

The portion, price, fries and service were all fine. The fish tasted very fresh and was nicely cooked however the batter was pub style rather than shack style. The predecessor here did a perfect version of shack style (think Aunt Carr…s) w/thin white fillets lightly breaded, dry (in a good way) and seasoned that one could pick up and eat with their hands. The fish then had a slightly sweet taste. The pub style breading now being used I found was too dark and greasy. I discarded most of it and was left w/tasteless fish that may have well been poached.

I am not bashing this place, however if I buy a Lobster roll for the insane prices that they’re charging I expect something other than claws. Their coleslaw is green and disgusting, raw, inedible, and tasteless. However the fish and chips is one of the best I’ve ever had. If you like clam chowder like gravy, this is the place; my friends devoured it. Way too overpriced but very good fish and chips. Do not get the lobster roll..

I had the fish sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious—crispy, perfectly cooked, and served on a soft, toasted bun. It came with thick-cut fries, a bright lemon wedge, and the best coleslaw I’ve had in a while. The slaw had Brussels sprouts and kale mixed in, which gave it a super fresh crunch and nice flavor balance.
We also tried the clam chowder—rich, creamy, and exactly what you want from New England-style chowder. The side of hush puppies was a bonus treat—crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and perfect with the dipping sauce and lemon.
Everything was served fresh, and we enjoyed our meal outdoors with a relaxing seaside breeze. Whether you’re just off the beach or looking for classic seafood in a casual spot, Caswell’s is a must-visit.

Have had multiple items on the menu and I’m never disappointed! The clam fritters are a must, but have had the lobster roll, the shrimp, the crab cake and much more – all AMAZING! Such a fun atmosphere with the best staff. Just go!!!
