I had never been to the casual inn before. I went with my boyfriend and a group of friends. It’s their local hangout. The food was fantastic, the service was friendly. I got the fried clam plate and everyone’s eyes bugged out of their heads when it arrived. So many delicious full belly clams. Needless to say I took a doggy bag home. Other dishes included the fillet and scrod Newburgh. I will definitely return and can’t believe I’ve never heard of this place before! What a local gem!

We walk in to a nearly empty restaurant only to stand in front of the door for almost 10 before we were even acknowledged. Then we were asked if we had a reservation. I said no and after I was given a lecture on how i should have had a reservation, I was told it was going to be a 20 minute wait. A 20 minute wait just to be seated in a dining room that was 85% empty. She brings out one piece of bread for two people, the food was mediocre at best, and the dining room hasn’t been dusted since the Regan era. Nothing like it was years ago. It’s a shame.

OK, so, let’s start with we have been here before was really good. We had seafood and zero complaints. It’s been about 6 years since then, we decided to try a special. Delmonico Steak with carrots, one with fries the other roasted potatoes. I had the roasted potatoes they tasted like FISH, the steaks were 90% fat and they were 34.50 a plate. Super disappointed I sent them both back way too much fat and they were raw to medium rather than medium to well. I felt bad for the waitress but it had to go back, and, we won’t be back either. Too bad it was bad

Went for the first time in a very long time on NYE..our reservation was for 3 people at 7pm..we we’re greeted and seated promptly although in the bar area when there was lots of room in the dining room. Our waitress was kind and pleasant but we felt neglected because the kitchen was overwhelmed. The restaurant didn’t seem prepared for a busy night..I blame management! The hostess was turning away walk inside even though there were empty tables.
We ordered a app of calamari right away. It took more than 45 minutes for the app. We thought our meals were going to come before the app did. Finally, the app was served. During this time, our glasses were dry and it seemed like they only had one waitress. Poor planning by management.
Our waitress then came over to inform us that at 7:30 on a big holiday, they ran out of mashed potatoes. We eat out daily..we’ve never been to a restaurant that ran out of mashed! Finally, our meals were served. My husband ordered two lobster plates and they were served without butter.
Just a very disappointing dinner on big celebratory night.. definitely will go elsewhere in the future. Sorry Casual Inn.. your attention to detail is just too casual for me.

Came for the first time from Foxboro. Will definitely return. If food doesnt make you happy , Melisa’s friendlies and positivity is sure too.
We had appetizer , calamari. A standard item we order, but they definitely do it differently and so tasty . We scooped up the olive oil sauce that accompanied it. Also had clams casino, great light stuffing on top of fresh clams. I had Portuguese fish. So different and tasty. Will def return. Alot of locals come so you know its great.
