This is an absolutely perfect breakfast place! I only wish they were open past 2pm.
Edited from first visit a few months ago:
The $8 early bird special is a surprisingly filling amount of food and I’m glad I had the Relleno today. As crispy as the burrito was even down to the last bite while smothered in Green Chill.

Edited second review – for Lunch:
The hamburger had cheese on both sides so I couldn’t put my lettuce tomato or pickles on it properly without breaking the bun. The burger itself was quite bland and overcooked for medium and it would be nice if there was a cheaper BYO burger option.
Potato salad is ok but was missing something. Fries were good and I can definitely see myself ordering them smothered – if that means covered with their fantastic green chili and cheese (menu didn’t say).

Original review – for Breakfast:
Homemade green chili was spicy and flavorful. Rellenos were hot and crispy inside the burrito and not greasy at all. Their take on French toast was amazing so delicious also loved the flavor of their waffle and pancake. Hash browns better than any other restaurant here. Sausage had a nice little spice kick and the bacon was mouthwatering. Nothing seemed to be greasy like other breakfast places.
Prices on par with most breakfast restaurants in town and other chains – but food quality and service here are way better and worth every penny.
I can’t wait to return here many more times.

Stopped in today after hiking and we just beat an insane rush! This place was packed! definitely a good sign. The service was quick and friendly, the food prep wasn’t slow but definitely not rushed. The pancakes were not my favorite (they had an oddly sweet undertone) but were definitely yummy, and everything else we ordered was delicious. Will definitely be back!
Two people, two drinks, two meals – $39.

Found a new breakfast favorite. Tons of options, green chili is great. My chicken fried steak has a good peppery flavor to it! Get the Chicken Fried Steak with tortillas and green chili on the side! Ignore my sin of putting ketchup on my steak, but pour your green chili over your hashbrowns and eggs, well worth it! My wife’s breakfast quesadilla was great also.
EDIT: We liked it so much, we came back this week and tried different menu items. This time, I ordered the French Toast platter and my wife ordered the Waffle. The French toast is especially good, with a purpose made bread that is perfect for the task. Waffle was great, also! Can’t wait to try additional breakfast items, and come back for lunch sometime.

If the pictures don’t tell you the story, then nothing I say will — but just know this: I was a major chef in Las Vegas. The rest? Let’s just say the French toast alone is worth the drive. Drive forty five minutes just a fyi. Anna was amazing

Quaint little spot serving up some killer breakfasts! I didn’t expect to spend such little time in there, service was fast! Looking forward to returning and trying all their other items that sounded so good.

“I don’t want to say This is the BEST BURGER I’ve had, but this IS the best burger if ever had,” chimed both my hubby and my son.
Like you order fried rice at a Chinese restaurant, both of them had a Cheeseburger, and it’s a great testament to the restaurant. It was our first visit and we’ll be back.
I happen to love my Castle View Burrito too!
Don’t forget to validate parking.
It’s crowded. Bring a cardigan because it gets breezy even in the restaurant because of the sheer number of patrons walking though the doors.

Best breakfast in town! It’s quick and diner like. Everything was on point. Nothing greasy. This will be our new regular go-to place.
The server was so nice. She was super patient while talking to my kid, answering his questions and helping him.
This place will be busy on the weekends for sure.

Nice new breakfast and lunch spot where theVista Vino used to be located. Extensive menu. Food was quite good with a special mention for the country gravy which had a nice peppery flavor. Omelette was a nice portion. Servers were polite and friendly. However, I’m not sure they planned appropriately for the results of having such high reviews and a new place in town. It was quite busy on a weekday morning and they only had 1 server for the entire restaurant when I arrived. Another server arrived later but it was still busy with people constantly waiting at the front to be seated. I asked for extra napkins which took some time and was not checked on. I can’t imagine what is like on a weekend. I do sincerely hope they will bite the bullet and invest in their own success because it works be great to see this business thrive.

Amazing place! I have only come a handful of times so far but I’ve never had a problem. Service is friendly and prompt. The food is yummy! I love that they serve tomato slices as a side. I’m a CO native but my parents are from the south so those slices remind me of going to see my grandpa as a kid. All in all great experience and I will be back!

Castleview Cafe is a great place to grab a bite to eat! We went for breakfast and got the chicken fried steak and corned beef hash. Both dishes were pretty good, but the country gravy was so delicious – highly recommend. The coffee was great, our server was incredibly friendly and the dining room had lots of natural light and wasn’t too crowded. If you are looking for a quiet place to grab breakfast in Castle Rock, I think you should give this place a try!
