For the cafe, pepperoni pizza (flatbread) was good, lemonade is too sweet and skippable. Beer on tap was interesting and you pour it yourself. Be ready to wait though when it’s busy during lunch time.

3/27/25: Update: The Castle Cafe reached out and said that they are going to rectify the situation. That was very unexpected and nice.
3/22/25: We had to wait for our tour and we were starving. First, we ordered our food from a kiosk which I hate. We waited a long time for two sandwiches, a grilled cheese and a club sandwich. My daughter wasn’t feeling well from the drive in the mountains, so I asked how long it would take and they said they couldn’t rush the order. Then I asked for to-go boxes and the same girl rudely said they didn’t have any, but another employee said they had boxes and gave me some. The bread is enriched white bread and the cheese is processed slices.

There’s not a lot of service since you order from a kiosk, get a text when your food is ready, and then you go pick up the food from the counter. Great atmosphere giving you cozy cabin vibes. The prices are okay for an attraction eatery.

So my husband and I were on a vacation getaway and we went to Ruby Falls for the cave and waterfall and we stopped at the café, which was nice old beautiful set up and we had a coffee and the coffee was very very very weak. Watered down coffee for I believe it was 6 to 8 dollars a cup so I don’t recommend their coffee, but the atmosphere was great.

no one to take your order, you have to use a screen no matter what and they ask for tip at the end. The hot chocolate is made with water not milk and it’s not detailed anywhere, I wouldn’t have purchased if I knew beforehand. If you want beer you have to pour it out the tap yourself.

Saw the cafe on News Channel 9 This N That today and thought it would be a good trip for lunch with my mom. Flat bread pizza was more Totinos quality and the over priced pre made salad was browned and tiny. Good by date was today and it went in their trash unopened along with half the flat bread pizza as well. The lemonade was decent. Nice place to sit a spell but no need to waste $63 on 2 flatbreads 2 lemonades and two side salads. The food suck. Advise a revamp on the offerings and get staff with personality. This is too nice of a place to have subpar cafe food and service.

Convenient place to grab a cold drink before the elevator ride down to Ruby falls. Yet – self-serve beer with an automated dispenser, and two very overworked kids to hand out clean glasses? Come on, you can do better. To be fair, your selection of beers is reasonable. Please work on providing better service – get a real bar tender.

Not a bad meal for the price. My salad was excellent. The flatbread pizza was good as well although a bit saucy for my grandson’s taste. My husband did not think the chili was great. Overall a good deal for the price especially considering it is a tourist destination. The scenery is beautiful and the falls was magnificent (according to my daughter and grandson) The guides speaking part was better than the recording/videos.
