I recently just discovered Casting Whimsy, and I can’t believe I haven’t been here sooner! I went for the first time in November with a couple of friends for afternoon tea, and it was so lovely that I went again for their December menu. I love that you can choose which tea you’d like, and all of their food has blown me away. You can tell that they’re freshly prepared with top-notch ingredients. The decor is so fun, the staff is super helpful, and it’s just overall a wonderful place to stop in to grab some tea or for their afternoon tea (I can’t wait to pop in soon for their new lunch menu!).

We have done several afternoon teas at Casting Whimsy and they have all been wonderful. This one might have been my favorite! The Croque Monsieur was excellent and I loved the Paris-Brest as well. Can’t wait to see what next month’s menu is!

Best tea shop in the Chicago suburbs! They carry an amazing selection of truly unique and flavorful varieties and everything is blended fresh in house. The staff are incredibly informative, kind, and accommodating. They will help you select something to match your taste or health preferences if you ask. A nice perk is their yummy selection of homemade food and pastries!

My daughter and I absolutely love Casting Whimsy!! It is such a fun place whether you’re there for a cup of tea or for an afternoon tea. We went for our first afternoon tea yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed it. They have an amazing array of teas to choose from which have been handcrafted by one of the owners. The food is unique and there are plenty of choices that are gluten sensitive. The decor is whimsical and there is always something new to see. We’ve already scheduled another for next month.

Super fun tea shop! Stopped in for afternoon tea. The selection of teas was great, truly a type for any taste available. We each received a pot with the option to receive more hot water later to keep the tea flowing. The food was exceptionally good! Often I find that tea or coffee shops seem to only have mass-produced pastries and snacks. All the items we received felt like they were baked on-site, seasoned wonderfully and fresh. The lemon quiche and goat cheese scone were highlights. I also very much enjoyed the earl grey cinnamon roll – it really tasted of earl grey!
I will definitely be back as their tea menu appears to rotate seasonally. They also offer a tea and games night which I’d love to drop in to, if I ever get the chance!

one of my favorites, great selections of teas and they feature different fun drinks like fizzies and lattes which have been tasty every time I’ve tried them. Their food is good and the prices are extremely reasonable. great place to stop before walking around the woodstock square
