Castillo’s is a true gem for anyone who appreciates authentic, well-made food and a welcoming atmosphere. The fajitas are absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The homemade tortillas really stand out, and the freshly made chips and salsa are a great way to start the meal.
Their margaritas are another highlight, made with freshly squeezed limes, which makes a huge difference in taste and freshness.

Ordered the Migas to go and they were ready on time and they were good. I have had better, but they were good. They should be served with tortillas like other places I have got Migas. They were not expensive, but should be included. The real issue was the order was incomplete. Ordered bacon strips and received no bacon. The place was not busy, so that excuse can’t be used. It’s not the money thing by any means, but if I order something it should be included without me checking everyone’s “work” before I leave. Failure to include something small like this, makes me question things in the future from this establishment. This was my first visit here, and might be my last. And yes, over an incomplete order.

First of all I’d like to thank Gina. She went above & beyond for us. She made my wife & I feel like family. Even went as far to tell us, “mi casa es su casa!” I love a true family friendly environment. From when you first walk in to order to the time you leave, not a single staff member doesnt greet you nor ignore you. We truly felt an overwhelming welcome & how much they really care about their customers. Food was excellent & tasted so fresh. You can tell the food was made with care & love. I know it sounds corny but it was a truly delicious & felt like a homemade meal. I’ve been to plenty of Mexican restaurants in Katy/Houston but this was an actual taste of a homemade meal. Like something I would make at home. If I could give 10 stats I would. Thanks again to Gina & the whole staff for going above & beyond for my wife & I. We will be back very very soon!

Visiting Galveston, Tx , so on our way back to our Hometown San Antonio, Tx. We stopped at Castillo’s Mexican Restaurant. First Time Here. My love is a Honey Bee for Sweats so she ordered Churros for Dessert and she fell in love with the Sweet Plate Presentation❤️ she also loved the taste of her Breakfast Plate. As far as me? I loved the taste and ask of its ingredients inside this shish kebab looking Sandwich Plate. Love Curly Fries and these fries were crunchy in seasoned to perfection. The Sandwich was also Amazing The Sandwich vegetables were fresh and turkey/ham had an excellent taste. I will definitely be back

This time, they forgot to put in my order, so my wife and son got served before they came to tell me they ran out of ceviche, so by the time my second order came, my family was done eating.

Man this is an awesome spot. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and we were apologizing for arriving so late. Owners were like no problem and they were extremely friendly. Food was very good and tortillas were homemade . Definitely a 5 star, only negative but it’s very small. I would prefer to sit and order from a waiter/waitress and have food and drinks brought to me. Once you order at the counter they will bring the food to your table. It gives Willie Ice House feel. I still absolutely recommend you try this spot and judge for yourself

Passing through Katy and found this gem!! Food was in point: both corn & flour tortillas hand made, tacos were filling, menudo did not disappoint and I’m picky. What I assume are the owners were talking to customers and made our little group feel welcomed. Will definitely stop here again!!
