Stayed at Castaways Resort so wanted to at least try their restaurant for the full experience. Did not have high expectations at all but once the food came out and we tried it, absolutely delicious for all meals. Compliments to the chef!!! There were four of us dining and we all love to eat so meal portions, I would say in my opinion are filling. We all ordered a dish each (Seafood chowder, Burger meal, Lamb , and Steak – this option was from the Kids menu) and got two tapas to share Popcorn chicken and Garlic Cheese Bread. Restaurant is quite small so I understand why reservations are important. Service was good and atmosphere was okay. Lighting was not the best and felt dull but was not a huge deal for me at the time. We got seated close to the window doors so that was better for me and helped the vibe. I appreciate that the young staff lady was able to help us and still allow is to dine even though we did not book. Glad we came early since we were able to leave in time as it started to get busy and packed. Restroom facilities are okay and are shared.

Excellent food, kid friendly and exceeded expectations!! I did not have high expectations as many beachside eateries can be either hits or misses, plus we came without a reservation but they were able to accommodate us. was pleasantly blown away by the delicious meals, great presentation and preparation, with attention to details. Even basic fries they managed to make it a treat for the tastebuds. Great wine selection, surprisingly easy to drink, tasty pairings, had the seafood chowder and was deliciousness in every spoonful. Nice servers, pleasant crew, great location and excellent value. I will recommend to all our family and friends!! A big bonus is that it’s right next to a gorgeous surf beach. What a hidden gem.

Came for dinner for 2. Ordered the braised rib and the pork. We also had Thai skewers for starter. The food was served in excellent time. When the plates arrived I thought it was not going to be enough, but, as we ate our meals, it was absolutely delicious and very filling. I can’t complain about the service, the food or the price. Only thing I have is that I wished the windows were cleaned perhaps daily as they were the view and it was definitely ruined by the unclean glass. Recommend

Had an amazing birthday dinner at Castaway Restaurant and Bar tonight! We visit Castaway Resort every year and always love the experience—sometimes we even stay the night and treat ourselves to the spa. The food was delicious and great value, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and they even surprised me with a dessert that had “Happy Birthday” written in chocolate. We were seated by the window with a perfect view of the sunset over the ocean. Such a thoughtful and memorable evening—we’ll definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience here. My parents stayed and befriended some of the staff. We joined them the next night and got incredible service. I’m not a big meat eater so got the chicken burger and fries. Was so much food. My partner is a meat eater and raved about the steak. I believe it was all good meals over the two nights. Highly recommend.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary dinner. The food was very reasonably priced, pretty classic food menu. We even got a free dessert as I mentioned it was our anniversary. Very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere with a lovely view! Will definitely be back!

During our stay at Castaways Resort, we went there. I enjoyed the restaurant’s quality and variety of dishes during my two breakfast visits. The accommodation rate covered breakfast for our four-person family, which made us very happy. You may be lucky enough to be seated at a table by the windows and take in stunning views of the sea.
Additionally, we had dinner once, and it wasn’t a particularly pleasant experience. Only three of the four main dishes that we ordered came, and the fourth one was delivered to us later since it was forgotten. The manager was really apologetic and generously provided us two desserts and a complimentary bowl of chips.
Although the meal was of mediocre quality and we ordered our steak to be medium rare, but it wasn’t cooked enough. We were thankful that we could walk from our accommodation to the restaurant instead of having to drive to have dinner though. They can also provide room service.
I would want to mention how good their iced coffee was.

Good food for it’s location. Great views and the service was very friendly. Meals are good value and quality. The short rib was delicious and well cooked, the steamed veges were a little bit of an easy-out to what would have otherwise been an fantastic plate of food.

Lovely evening. There was a large (loud) group and unfortunately the space did echo a lot. A lot. It was very hard to hear each other talk. However! The food was good. Great portion sizes. The sides were an additional plate to the steak! (We’re definitely full!) and service was exceptional! Given there was a large group and we arrived mid way through their dining. Our drinks and food came out in very good time! Very impressed by that. Overall was a nice dining experience.
