i went during lunch 1:00pm. few people trickled in.

at this place, they cook it for you. whether you like that or not, it’s something to think about. $28 cash nets a good selection of protein and all sides included. server cooked the meat to perfection — super soft. salt is given on the side if you like to add. experience was 10/10, i left satisfied. cute little photobooth at the end.

i got — buldak chicken, berkshire steak, beef bulgogi, and spicy pork belly. u can order 3 at a time, and if you want more, u simply order more. i guess its a way to control the 90min restriction. you still leave full, so i dont mind

Came here as a party of two got the dinner option. The meat was absolutely amazing, juicy and tasty. Was a big fan of the pork belly options. The staff was friendly and attentive, and your stools double as a place to put your coat to avoid it getting too stinky. Will be going back many a time!

TLDR; I would not recommend going to this restaurant if I have to be cautious of a server exhibiting unpleasant behavior.

Going to preface this post by saying the food was good and I had recommended my family to come here because of the good experience I had during a previous visit to this Cast Iron Pot location.

I was on the fence about writing this review, but the service was subpar; and as a person who used to work in the service industry and respects service workers, I was quite disappointed and also hurt by the server’s behavior.

Our server was a young Korean woman who had an expressionless face. She didn’t really introduce herself or explain how the ordering system works, and she acted almost irritated/flat when we made requests/orders. She also cooked at a pace that felt like we were rushing, so it didn’t feel as enjoyable and I honestly would have preferred if we cooked the food ourselves at our own pace. She never communicated or checked in with us about pacing and it seemed like she wanted to get it over with.

What really upset me was how she acted behind our backs. She played rock paper scissors with another server to leave us and pass our table off to him and in doing so, she also forgot the orders we put in before she left to go to another part of the restaurant.
What have we done for you to want to pass our table off to someone else 🙁

We also sat awkwardly waiting, not sure if she put in our order and also not sure where she went until it was clear she’s not coming back and had another server come to assist us. The other server who took over was kind and at least apologetic about our forgotten order, so he didn’t do anything wrong. The lack of communication was just not great.

But the most upsetting thing was that she made a snide remark to her coworker in Korean as we were leaving the restaurant.

She said something along the lines of she/they ate too much (“그녀는/그들은 너무 많이 먹었어“). I just find it offensive and weird you would say that because of course we would eat a lot…this is an All You Can Eat BBQ restaurant. If I wasn’t planning on eating a lot I would not go to an AYCE establishment. Probably would not come back here again…

The Service/Food and Cleanliness were all on point. The lunch special selections were all well worth it. Will definitely come back and explore more of the menu.

K-pop demon hunters got us here. It was better than I expected. We ate bulgogi beer and some juicy chicken. And spicy shrimp. Was empty on a Sunday afternoon. I think I should have paced myself better because I was super full in about 30 minutes. Nice music too.

We went for the AYCE lunch and besides them not offering beef Kalbi, I have no complaints. Many places don’t even offer beef Bulgogi at AYCE….
The restaurant was pretty empty and quiet at that time and our server was friendly and attentive.
We ordered the beef brisket, beef bulgogi, spicy pork, and pork ribs. The meats were all marinated so well, so flavorful. The only meat that wasn’t marinated was the brisket and it was a delicious pairing dipped in either the truffle salt or bean sauce. I also really enjoyed their house salad. The salad dressing was really good, however, it could’ve used more acidity since we weren’t served any marinated scallion. (I was missing that sour, spicy bite)
We also ordered the fried dumplings, kimchi fried dumplings, fried tofu (don’t bother wasting the stomach space), steamed egg, and crabmeat stew. The crabmeat stew was spectacular!! If only I hadn’t ordered two steamed eggs, I would have space for another crab stew. I did ask how big the steamed egg was and our server said not too big and made a circle with his hands…they were regular sized. Oh well, next time. Unfortunately, the menu says it’s a seasonal item, so I will definitely call to see if it’s on the menu before I go back. And I will definitely be going back.
New post- 6/3/25:

My only complaint before would’ve been the servings of meat were way too big, making us unable to order multiple meats. However, they have finally reduced the size of the meat plates. This is great! We can order more variety.
The service is friendly and efficient and the meats were marinated well. However, I did appreciate the non-marinated brisket since I really enjoy the truffle salt and bean dipping sauce.
The best thing there is still that crab stew. I had myself two servings this time. Their house salad is really great as well, love that dressing. We had two servings of that as well. Great lunch!

Amazing dinner at the best Korean BBQ in Flushing! We went straight beef this go around, trying nearly every steak item on the menu. Grilling our steak for us, Matthew was iconic! His suggestion of the hangar cut was worth every cent of it! His personality, charisma, and genuine attitude is priceless! If you go in, ask for Matthew to grill at your table, and enjoy the love he puts into his food! Highly recommend!

Easily the best k-bbq in queens. They are always very active and cooking for you and the meat like the bulgogi and cast iron steak are heavenly! It is so juicy and tender and clearly seasoned/marinated amazingly. Tried all the beef options (steaks) and the rice was also delicious. Pork belly was also good (recommend spicy pork belly). Ate around 1
4 rounds, (each round 3 meats). Left so full I couldn’t even walk. Easily one of the best foods I ate in a while. Wonderful cook Frank and polite. Definitely coming back soon. (Dinner option)

I didn’t have the best experience dining here. The staff seemed a bit disengaged, and the food was just okay. For the price, I think places like Picnic Garden or New York BBQ offer a better overall value. It might be more enjoyable if customers could grill their own food and have the meats brought out as ordered, rather than having just a few cooked at a time. I’m not in a hurry to come back.
