Placed an order for 2 sandwiches some bagel bombs and an extra bagel with cream cheese on the side.
They called our name but gave our offer to a different person with the same name.
Mistakes happen and we were in no rush.
We were told they would remake our order.
We heard instructions given to out server from the kitchen saying they didn’t have certain items for our order and to just give us an extra bagel.
Again, its understood things run out and its not a problem but it felt as we were just brushed off for their mistake which was a little disappointing.
We accept the offer since we had already waited and when we received our order we were missing extra on our sandwiches and the cream cheese on the side.
Again, mistakes happen and we could’ve still had a good experience but it just felt as if the effort and care was very lacking in this interaction.
I’m not exactly sure what happened if it changed mgmt or that they’re having trouble finding good help and employees but the service has gone drastically downhill. Orders are wrong four out of five times. And as another reviewer mentioned they will leave the spread off of your sandwich and that is one of the main ingredients. I’ve even had them put the spread on but it was such a minimal amount that they might as well have left it off. To the point I thought there was a shortage on cream cheese spread. But I do think it’s just a lack of care in service and a lack of paying attention to what you’re doing by the employees. There should be a manager there to help clean this up or the owner needs to get back involved because it’s too bad that this great little bagel shop has turned away a local resident and frequent customer.
***There is a new 5th Avenue bagelry in Buena Park off of Stanton and Auto center. Which is a little further for me but well worth the extra few minutes drive. Really great sandwiches and bagels.***
I frequented this place since it was previously owned by 2 women and had a different name which I cannot remember, and then taken over by the current owner.
I also like their bagel sandwiches, the lattes – blended or hot – and the bagel bombs too. In all honesty, I haven’t had anything there I don’t like.
Other bonus perks: a rewards program that lets you earn free items and a kid’s corner to keep the little ones entertained!
I enjoyed the self service coffee bar with a selection of some flavored coffee.
The seating is limited so it is not a great place for a large group.
I went back to give him another try. I got the egg bacon and cheese bagel. The egg and the bacon and the cheese have like zero flavor as well as the bagel I know it’s a lot of dough and no taste. I had a better service experience this time. The ladies there are very nice but I’m having enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches yet.. perhaps the bagel will smear would be better
