A cozy and clean place that serves wonderful Italian food! We had the Wedding Soup and the Grilled Chicken sandwich topped with Italian greens and roasted peppers! The breast was grilled to perfection and was generous in size. The soup, while not quite as good as mom used to make, was pretty darn good. 🙂

I was excited to try this restaurant after reading so many positive reviews, but our experience was disappointing from the start. My party of three walked in right behind another party of two. They were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Meanwhile, the bartender and who appeared to be a manager (sitting at the end of an otherwise empty bar) completely ignored us. No greeting, no acknowledgment, not even a quick “someone will be right with you.” After standing there for a couple of minutes, I finally asked, “Do we just sit anywhere?” and was met with “Oh no” in an annoyed tone before he reluctantly grabbed menus and seated us.

It didn’t improve from there. I ordered chicken parmesan and asked to order a side of Alfredo sauce. The waitress responded, “We don’t normally do that, but I’ll see if the chef will make an exception,” as if I had made some unreasonable request. I was prepared to pay for it — I simply wanted to add a side of sauce at an Italian restaurant.

Overall, we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff by being there. Dining out shouldn’t feel like you’re asking for a favor. With so many great Italian options in this area, there’s no reason to return somewhere that makes guests feel unwelcome

Pasta and there meat balls are always great, and the hot peppers and oil (not on the menu) is the best with some bread and butter.

Came here 10/15/25 for my daughters birthday dinner, I had the veal parm and angel hair pasta, not sure if it was real veal or a what, but it was very tender… overall the food wasn’t bad at all.. first time here, and I’ll Definitely come back..

Descent Italian food bit service wasn’t the best. Messed up 2 food orders, but it was Saturday night, so I understand how busy it was and how much more stress it adds. Might try it again next time we are in town.

Two stars because I like the location and my salad was good. I ordered the chicken parmesan with spaghetti noodles; in hindsight, I should have paired it with angel hair pasta. Unfortunately, the chicken itself was not good—it was tough and full of gristle, making it difficult to chew. Because of this experience, I won’t be returning. That said, the location is nice.

Stopped in on a very busy night due to a concert. Completely understand that staff was not 100% due to a ton of people. Food was good pizza was amazing. Glad we stopped I .

The service was friendly. Our server continued to check in and was hospitable. The food was great. The blacken chicken was well seasoned and the house salad dressing was delicious. Upon leaving the restarting, a staff member helped up walk out to the door to ensure my companion was able to get into the car as she had challenges walking. Wow!

MVR is an absolute gem for Italian food lovers in Youngstown! I recently grabbed the Tressel tortellini to go, and it was fantastic. The tortellini was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Every bite was a comforting reminder of why MVR is such a beloved spot.

Even though it was a to-go order, the food was packaged well and still hot by the time I got home. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the pickup process a breeze.

I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu—next time, maybe I’ll stay to soak in the restaurant’s ambiance. Highly recommend!
