The waiter was so friendly and nice.
We had a little child with us and he was so cool to him.
We got a menu with multiple different super nice starters, after this homemade noodles and ravioli and in the end a dessert and a very good espresso.
I’ll come again every time I’m in San Lorenzo now. It was just awesome
One of the best 360-degree dining experiences I’ve ever had. Ever! Great food, super-friendly service (hi Donatello! ), and—bonus!—a shop right next door where you can stock up on Ligurian goodies: food, cosmetics, all from their own farm. Warning: stopping might be easy, leaving without buying half the shop? Not so much.
Now, the food: AMAZING. We went for the Completo Menu. After a long day, we arrived starving and, after the first courses, thought, “Hmm, this might not be enough.” Spoiler alert: by the end, we were happily proven wrong—this was beyond a regular dinner and then some.
But the real highlight? The quality. Nothing overengineered, nothing unnecessarily fancy, nothing more processed than it needs to be. Just honest flavors, like the ingredients were still basking in the Ligurian sun a few hours ago. One example: this is the only place where I’ve ever been served sugo and bread as a course. And guess what? IT. WAS. A. DREAM.
So, if you’re craving traditional Italian food made by someone who truly loves food, for someone who loves food, this is your spot. Other reviews recommend reserving in advance; I got lucky and didn’t need one, but considering the quality and how full it was, better play it safe.
The food was delicious:, vegetarian, pasta and meat dishes as you would like it to be. The service very attentive and pleasant. The ambient relaxing and casual. We felt very welcomed and ate like kings.
We can highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.
