It was okay. I’m not sure if I ordered the right items but considering it’s a tapa Spanish restaurant the items I ordered should have been fire. They were just okay. Plated well but the overall flavors were fishy and not there. I should have known better when I ate the slice of watermelon on my margarita and it tasted days old. I was hoping this place was going to deliver but they came up short when it comes to freshness. Note I was there on a Thursday happy hour time. ‍♂️I don’t think I will return.

I had a decent experience at Cascal Mountain View. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. I especially enjoyed the seafood dishes. The eggplant tian and the roasted cauliflower were also very good. The restaurant has a great selection of tapas and entrees, so there’s something for everyone. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service you receive. I would recommend this tapas restaurant.”

Great tapas options. Great food. We ordered sizzling shrimp, beet salad, potato gratin, brussel sprouts, warm chocolate soufflé cake. Everything was awesome apart from brussel sprouts. It’s sauce was so stinky that we had to send it back and that’s why I took off one star. We also ordered Sangria and virgin Mojito, both were great. House baked bread was warm and addictive. It came with a cilantro dip that we couldn’t get enough of. Service was great. Servers were polite. Ambience is great. They have indoor and outdoor seating area. Indoor area is huge. Location is fantastic as it’s right on the main Castro street which is Mountain View downtown. Public free parking is available at 2 mins walk. During peak hours, this place is buzzing with people, that speaks volumes about this place. Always a pleasure to come here!

Cascal has solid menu for tapas and paella with a lot of varieties. Even the seafood pasta dish has a unique touch of South American/Spanish flavor, I believe from saffron. However, the reason why I came back to this place again and again is the chocolate molten cake. It is so good that my friend brought his family back to celebrate his dad’s birthday. I myself come back for it too. Definitely a place you can bring your loved one for amazing food. Oh and they have live band from time to time as well. Set outside at night is such a joy.

Went after a Sat morning hike. Ordered a bunch of tapas dishes with drinks. Decent food, kinda pricey. Recommend wrapped dates & salmon. Could skip corn. Parking nearby in lot. Servers friendly.

One of the best places to enjoy Latin American food. Delicious food, great choices paired with cocktails. Live music on weekends and a place for salsa, it’s Miami vibe in the bay area. There are very few places that have this Latin vibe so must visit, make reservations, come with an open mind to relax and just enjoy the food and music. It will take away all your stress of working in the silicon valley. Mountain view city should rename Castro street to Ocean street to mimic Miami because of this restaurant.

The tapas sampler is a must try. The Cascal Paella is also great.

The indoors have a cheerful and warm vibe. I am vegan and the server helped me find vegan and “can be veganized” meals on the menu including the paella and tapas entries. It’d be great if these were marked clearly on the menu. The food was enjoyable with richness of flavors and service was excellent.

Delicious sangria. The food was very good. We ordered the paella, I thought the rice was a bit overcooked though. But the rest of the food was wonderful. The tuna tartare was fresh and light, and the shrimps were delicious, cauliflower was very flavorful. The outdoor at Casual is always very pleasant. I don’t think one can get really dissatisfied with this restaurant. Service was also well performed.

The food was great in general! We ordered the Paella Cascal and Tapas Sampler. The rice was a bit undercooked and could use less seasoning (totally personal preferences), but the tapas were delicious. The service was amazing.
