The food was absolutely amazing! I had the duck, my partner had the fillet and crab special. We started with their charcuterie board and ended with bordoux cherry cheesecake and blueberry bourbon bread pudding.Service was excellent. The only thing I didn’t like was that the restaurant itself was so noisy we couldn’t converse the entire time we were there.

As someone who works in hospitality I consider myself understanding, but the evening today had a few marks missed for the price point of their menu. Firstly both of our food menus were covered in stains and food which just isn’t a great appeal when looking at a 200$+ steak. This was paired with lightly stained water glasses. We had ordered the charcuterie board that is listed to come with three of the chefs choice cheeses, nuts, crackers, ect but no other details are listed. So it was confusing when the food runner or other server besides ours had dropped the food without saying what cheeses or anything was on the board, additionally no side plates or plates of any sort were brought to the table either. The mid railings by/under the table were also caked in dust/ grime. That’s really where the negatives end as the cocktails were great and had a large selection of different beverages, besides mocktails which their are two of. Our server Ryan was great and attentive and all food came out perfectly, it was just the small details that in my opinion truly make or break an experience at the price point.

Pretty cool older hotel where they filmed a few movies there. And you can walk around and experience some cool things about the hotel and history and even book a room there. If not staying at the hotel you will be charged for a parking fee. It’s well worth visiting if you’re in the area.

Lev was an amazing server. He was so well attentive to everything we needed and when he was busy with another table his cos workers adjusted and helped us immediately. Thank you so much Lev for the amazing experience and we will be back.

Our server was top notch and suggested a wine to compliment my duck.
I was sad to had no duck skin on the breast and glaze only on the bottom of plate and my potatoes were overdone to the point of being burned.

My boyfriend’s meatloaf could have used a nice chutney to cut the gaminess.

I’ll be back to visit the hotel but will probably try the other restaurant on the property.

Indulging in the grandeur of the Stanley Hotel for Thanksgiving was a truly memorable experience. The Cascades Restaurant, with its historic ambiance and stunning mountain views, provided the perfect setting for a festive feast.

I opted for the traditional turkey dinner, a comforting choice that exceeded expectations. The turkey was succulent and moist, complemented by a medley of classic side dishes – arugula salad w goat cheese and walnuts, creamy mashed potatoes, and crisp green beans. Each bite was a nostalgic journey, evoking the warmth and joy of the holiday season.

While the food was undeniably delicious, it was the overall atmosphere that made the dinner truly special. The attentive staff, the elegant decor, and the soft glow of the fireplace created a sense of timeless elegance. It was the perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving, surrounded by history and culinary delights.

Came here for Valentines day with Wifey. They’re really banking on it being a famous venue. We got there a little early and decided to have a drink. We ordered mountain breezes. Said there was top shelf bourbon, looked and tasted like Jim beam. We actually got our table quickly which was the nicest part of the experience. Our waiter Lev came up immediately and asked if we were ready to order, we told him we needed a few minutes. We didn’t see him again for 15 minutes. I ended up giving my drink to my wife as it was not as advertised but she was trying to enjoy the experience. When Lev returned we ordered our food and more drinks. The second drink that came for my wife looked NOTHING like the first ones, different color, different garnish, different GLASS! 20 bucks per cocktail means they should be consistent. I ordered a bottle of beer because I knew they wouldn’t be making it. We got our appetizers and they were nothing to write home about, cold lobster bisque and slimey strawberries on the tiramisu. My wife ordered the seabass and I got the sampler. Her bass was only half cooked and her broccoli was burned. When she asked about it Lev said they cook fish medium well, what? No. Fish is cooked or it’s not. My venison medallion was mostly gristle, the elk was delicious, the bison was inedible. All 3 tasted like the grill was covered in burnt crud, medium rare should not taste like burnt hamburger. 280 bucks to be severely disappointed. Place needs better training to get staff on the same page, reminded me of bar rescue before Jon Taffer yells at everyone for being complacent with sub par service.

Don’t go for a dinner or any food. Just for a drinks and atmosphere. The charcuterie board was not fresh ingredients. The all meat that we’ve ordered was dry,old and no taste. Overpriced. Just a hype from the movie. The drinks were good actually. Big and expensive disappointment
