My husband and I went to Cascade for an early Valentine’s Day dinner and it was honestly flawless. Our server, Trevor, was the perfect mix of knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely personable — the kind of service that makes you feel like you’re having a special night, not just eating dinner.
The food was incredible. I had the fresh flown-in stuffed lobster (yes, worth it), and my husband loved the filet with crab Oscar, plus the lobster bisque and au gratin potatoes. Dessert and drinks were just as strong — the crème brûlée was amazing and the Bananas Foster Old Fashioned surprised us in the best way.
Add in the St. Joseph River view and the atmosphere… perfection. Coming from NY, this reminded me of home. We can’t recommend Cascade enough.

My wife and I decided to try out Cascade Prime Steak & Seafood, on a Saturday night, This place seemed fancy, and indeed was, the décor was nice fancy and new. every seat has a view of the river and light show. The service was absolutely on par with what I’ve had at Michelin-starred restaurants, our waiter was on point and the support staff always kept our table clean and neat, and the waiter was very informative on portion sizes and good pairings. I had the (pictured) Steak Frites (cooked medium) and it had the perfect char and melt in your mouth goodness, plus the added sauces are amazing. My wife had the (pictured) Rainbow Trout, which she enjoyed so much she ate the whole thing!. I got to say the bread starter is quite good also.

Cascade Prime Steak & Seafood is absolutely worth the price. The food is top-tier (the steak frites and rainbow trout were both outstanding), the bread starter is great, and the staff delivers Michelin-level service. But it was a great afternoon at Cascade Steakhouse, and Trevor took awesome care of us.
We started with the Steak Tartare and house-made chips — super clean and flavorful — plus the cast iron seared Crab Cake with kimchi aioli which had a really nice savory kick.
Then had a Little Gem chopped Caesar with Spanish anchovy that was spot on.
For mains, we went with the Australian Wagyu Ribeye au Poivre and creamed spinach — both rich, classic, and done really well.
I’m a chef and was in the mood for some different umami flavors, so Trevor suggested the veggie entrée — and honestly, it stole the show. Bright lemon, deep savory notes… every bite was ridiculously good.
Thoughtful wine list, beautiful martini presentation. Everything was comfortable, knowledgeable but non pretentious. Trevor is an asset. Great food, great guidance, and really thoughtful service.

What a lovely first experience here. Date night was so elegant spent here. Our waiter Jordon was really insightful about the menu and he even gave a few suggestions.
We had cascade salad, filet mignon, and crème brûlée. The salad was light and could’ve use more dressing or pepper for flavor. Everything else was perfection.
This is now a new favorite of mine. The views are breathtaking of East Race and the skyline of South Bend.

Im not going to lie, it was expensive. But, the atmosphere, food, and service was worth it. The steak was truly amazing and probably the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had. The creme brulee is a must as well, far better than I’ve ever had. We will be back.

We’ve been coming here since a few weeks after they opened in the fall of 2024 and they have always provided a consistent high-quality experience! we decided to go on an afternoon date before the evening, so we made reservations for 4:15, but we got there early and came in to dine as soon as the restaraunt opened up. right away, we were greeted and seated by a window which had a lovely view of the river. upon seating, we were offered beverage and got a briefing of the whole menu- from appetizer, to small plates, main dishes, and desserts! we ended up enjoying an array of appetizers- which included the crab stuffed avocado, beef tartare, crudo, and steak gnudi. for dessert, we shared the chocolate cake and we each had coffee. the cake is made in house and the coffee is from Guatemala- they make a delicious combination when enjoyed together. our servers Dustin and Erin were very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and prompt! we will definitely be coming back to this restaraunt! we love the very upscale quality and the fun but elegant atmosphere! highly recommend!
