Had dinner with my bride here tonight. We both ordered the Halibut and a nice reisling wine to go with it. The food was amazing, super flavorful and worth the price! We finished it off with their Chocolate Lava Cake with vanilla ice cream! Also wonderful! Our waitress Mary Sue was absolutely amazing and made us feel very valued and answered all our questions! She really made our night extra special! Thank you!

Took a day trip with some friends and went specifically for brunch, we arrived 30 mins prior to our reservation, I asked if we could check in early they stated they were completely booked and were unable to, we didn’t mind! We checked out the gift shop and took in the beautiful sights outside, it was truly gorgeous! When we did check in for our brunch reservation on time we were walked in by the non friendly hostess and she took us to a dirty table, then she realized and walked us over to another table, then another which also was dirty. The hostess asked us to please wait she would clean the table. We stood waiting for the table to be cleaned then the hostess says “is that good enough?” I’m sure she didn’t mean it maliciously like it came across but the words were poorly chosen. Then we ordered. Each one of us got something different, one got the chicken sandwich (which was dry) one an omelet and so on. The party I was with was served, I was told my meal was still cooking and would be at the table soon. I really wanted to try the french toast as it sounded amazing, it was NOT. It was clearly burnt and it was brought without anything, just 2 small slices of burnt brioche toast, I asked if it came with anything on the side and the server says “you mean like syrup?” I said yes, or butter but I’d like some honey. The burntness just wasn’t appetizing so unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy it. Good thing I asked for a cup of chili, now that was actually good, the little triangle shaped cornbread could have been a little bigger but it was tasty!! I should have only gotten a bowl of that and would have been happy. Overall the experience here was absolutely terrible between having different rude waitresses, watching flies fly around the buffet area, to us running out of water more than once and having to ask for more. Unfortunately I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone for any reason.

I stayed at Skamania Lodge several days over the weekend for a conference. I ate dinner in the Cascade Dining room for convenience sake, yet I still found the food and service to be top quality.
I haven’t stayed or dined here before, and I had no expectations whatsoever. The dining room is spacious and has a nice, elegant, yet rustic feel to it. I dined at 530 each night and had no need for reservations. I was seated promptly by the windows on the east side with a great view of the mountains in the background.
The servers were knowledgeable and attentive, checking in frequently to make sure I was happy. I ordered roasted chicken first night, halibut the second and a pork chop the third. All meals were excellent, though my favorite turned out to be the chop. It was very flavorful, cooked exquisitely, and was very lean yet juicy and succulent.
I tried a different cocktail each night and found them all great in their own right. The Boulevardier, the Lodge Lounger, and the Old Fashioned were each well-balanced and alcohol forward pours. A flavorful accent to the meals.
I enjoyed my stay very much and would recommend the Cascade Dining room to weary travelers who do not want to search for a decent meal off property. Relax and fear not. The meal you want is right there around the corner.

The food was really good. Hats off to their chefs! The service lacked in a major way. We had reservations for 8pm which is absolutely understandable for a pre Valentine’s weekend. When we arrived, we were told that they were running behind so we could wait outside the dining area or go to the bar and purchase a drink. At this point, if anything, a complimentary drink should have been offered for the inconvenience. We returned 20 minutes later only to wait an additional 10 minutes with other disgruntled guests. When we were finally seated we weren’t given an apology or offered any sort of recompense for our inconvenience. The food was delicious and our server John was very pleasant but I was very surprised when we were handed the bill, that there wasn’t even a discount offered. Most likely won’t dine here again. The Lodge is one of my wife’s favorite places to visit so we will return for an occasional nights stay. Overall, we were super disappointed with the dining experience at the Cascade dining room.

Stopped in yesterday, Monday, 7/7, for lunch. We just missed the buffet, so they were doing a very limited menu but we both found something to eat. I had the Bison chili, with a side of sour cream and a cup of coffee. My Aunt had the Seafood salad which had an amazing amount of seafood in it, she loved it.
The chili was good, but not warmed up enough. I’m allergic to corn so they were kind enough to bring me a lovely little loaf of fresh bread instead of the corn bread.
The staff was awesome. I can’t say enough about how kind they were, the lady who filled our water glasses offered to help my Aunt with her chair, everyone was helpful and kind.
View was lovely, I would have given atmosphere a 5 but the staff did vacuum near us while we were seated which I find not only annoying but unsanitary.
I would go again but I’d wouldn’t go right after a holiday and our fault in the timing, we should have gotten there earlier for lunch.
Thanks again to the lovely staff – love the Fourth of July fingernails!

Our server Travis was awesome! So friendly and efficient! The food was very good and the view was nice. The seafood salad was really good as was the seafood gratin was quite tasty. And I highly recommend the house sourdough bread! Signage was lacking for getting to the restaurant but overall it was a very good experience!

I loved my steelhead, amazing all around. The steak wasn’t cooked med rare and was served medium, at $58 price I was very disappointed for my husband. I think the gravy they was a bit overbearing and could have been less. The breakfasts are okay, but more or less they taste like a hotel breakfast and not what you’d expect from this restaurant. The view is amazing and service is top notch! We will come back, and try the lunch menu for sure.

What a beautiful setting to enjoy a delicious meal. Service was excellent! They have gluten free and dairy free options. The Parmesan Fries are a must. The Seafood Salad was delicious, topped with shrimp, salmon, crab, and avocado. Fresh and filling! We will definitely return.

Burger was very juicy and tasted great for the price. When they brought the salad I was kind of surprised that they were huge chunks of lettuce. The view is the main reason to come and visit.

great restaurant with above average service. Alexandria was so damn funny, she made our experience great after a really long morning of hiking. Honestly, I’d go back just to see her.
the views are great from the tables and the food was great as well, really hit the spot!
