Many Americans have become used to bad pizza, whether it’s sold by chains like Domino’s or Pizza Hat, or small mom and pop shops with a single oven. Pizza is not supposed to be greasy; you should not need to use a napkin to soak up the grease either on top of a pizza or its bottom. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to do this in my life, and honestly, I’m getting fed up with it.
Casamia Pizza’s are never greasy. I eat there at least once a week and have never gotten a bad pizza. Their standard pepperonis are excellent, but those who stray from the standard ingredients will be rewarded. For meat lovers you honestly can’t go wrong with the Chicken Florentine pizza which uses barbecued chicken. For veggie lovers try the Queens Pizza with ricotta cheese, broccoli and tomato.
This restaurant is so good you could probably eat there everyday trying different pizzas each time and you wouldn’t get sick of it.
The restaurant is carry out or delivery, so the decor doesn’t matter. It should probably move to a bigger location with seating so that customers could travel to it and eat on site. Staff are mostly foreign (Egyptian I believe) but extremely friendly. I’m sure it’s not easy for them to scratch out a living in the Piedmont, but they seem to be doing good business. If you live in Yadkinville, Winston-Salem, Mount Airy or Elkin Casamia is worth the trip if you are like me and simply refuse to eat at Pizza Hut anymore (I’ve given up on Taco Bell too in my quest for excellent Mexican food in North Carolina, but that’s another review).
