This was excellent! Just excellent. We shared the vegetarian plate. Everything was fresh and flavorful. These are the best dolmas and falafel we have ever eaten. The parsley was so fresh and the dressing was perfect. Dessert was the Kanafeh – not too sweet and beautiful. I think everything was made to order. The service was friendly. This place is the best kept secret in Denver!

We were welcomed upon walking in but that was pretty much the extent of the service we received. Besides taking our orders and dropping them off, our waters were never filled and it was a hot day with no/low air conditioning in the restaurant. Even when paying, the lady didn’t say a word to us and was busy talking to someone on the phone. The restaurant also has a strong smell of old furniture which really bothered some of the people in our group.
The food itself was decent. I enjoyed my Moroccan lamb shank enough and the chicken kabob was decent but one in our group ordered the lunch portion and it was like 3-4 small pieces of chicken.
Overall, if you are really craving Mediterranean in the Wash Park area and don’t feel like driving, getting some good to go here may not be a bad idea but service leaves a lot to be desired.

I believe that this could be a good restaurant again with trained employees. First, the cook arrived late. It took quite awhile for my food. A phone customer was able to order and pickup before we were served. The was a problem with the hummus so I was served rice and asked afterwards if it was OK. My friend’s lamb was tough. Finally, there was something on the containers which stopped me from finishing my drink or taking the leftovers. My friend was OK with taking them. $56, too much for the whole experience.

What a wonderful establishment! The chicken sultani (chicken kebab and kafta) was delicious. The chicken succulent and well seasoned. Damn I love a good kafta! The baklava was some of the best I’ve had. As rich as can be and dripping with honey but not so much as to be eating straight sugar then balanced with a healthy dose of earthy nuts. Delicious. I’m not sure but it seemed like only one person was working that night. He welcomed us, took the order, made the food, and did it all with a smile. We were the only people in there but based on what I ate the place should be packed!

Very fresh food with good sized portions. Prices are excellent and very affordable. My only suggestions would be to put the salad dressing on the side. The lamb could have been seasoned a bit more. I also think the lamb was a little overdone- I prefer my lamb chops more rare. I would just request that cook next time.

My brother and I came to Chez Ali for lunch and had an unbelievable meal. The chicken shawarma was the best I’ve had and everything from the lamb to the grape leaves and falafel was cooked to perfection. A wonderful experience!!

I’ve never had an Uber eats order where I told my boyfriend to throw it all away. Worst most disgusting food delivery mistake. The chicken shawarma pita didn’t have the toppings it claimed and was so grisly we couldn’t bite into it, pita was dry and gross, falafel rubbery, the hummus, tzakiki, and baba watery and flavorless, the entire bag had our orders of pickles spilled and missing turnips and the veggie combo all scrambled in a container. I’m afraid of us getting sick.

Me and my wife were visiting from out of town and wanted to order halal kabab. We stopped in Mecca Grill and the chief had it prepared to go in 15 minutes. The price was responsible for the portion of the food which I and my wife split the dish. The meat was juicy and flavorful. We certainly will be back next time when we are in Denver.
