A Bell
This is my usual go to place for Mexican because it’s convenient. After my latest visit, my friends and I are rethinking whether we need to find another Mexican restaurant to visit.
Service was slow at best. We got seated fairly quickly but it took quick a long time for someone to come visit our table.
When we were served the customary chips and salsa, it took them a while to get our order. At one point, I raised my hand up. My move did not get acknowledged even though there were several staff members in the back close to the kitchen who were just standing around.
I decided to get up and ask them for service. As I neared them,a waitress clearly eyed me. She did not even try to ask if I needed help. I stood still waiting for someone to say something. Nothing. I turned and actually started walking back towards my table when I saw a gentleman who had served me previously. I headed his way and he asked if I needed help.
A few minutes after this point someone came and got our order. We had to keep flagging someone down though for appetizer plates, chips, drink refill (because it was mainly ice).
When my check came back, I didn’t think much of it until I folded my ticket and noticed how my meal was almost double the price of the lunch menu. When I asked, they said that because I decided to mix the meat in my meal (something I’ve always done), they charged me extra $. I never saw that on the menu. I could’ve bought 2 of my items for the price they charged. Needless to say, it left a bad taste in my mouth. They were not one bit apologetic about our experience. It’s going to be hasta la vista from people who once supported them.

Our go-to Mexican in Hendersonville. The food is really good compared to other places in town, but still just run of the mill Americanized Mexican food. Outstanding service, the staff are all very friendly, they remember your name even though we only go once a week. Highlights are margs, green avocado salsa, fried jalapeños (side) and their rice is some of the best I’ve had. Really great patio, all around great vibe. Highly recommend.

Casa Vieja offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a classic taste of Latin cuisine in Hendersonville. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance felt authentic and welcoming.
The beef dish we ordered had good flavor, but the pieces were cut too small and ended up overly salty, which took away from the overall experience. I also tried the ceviche de camarón, hoping for that bright, citrusy kick, but it lacked seasoning and felt quite plain.
Despite these small setbacks, the restaurant delivers a solid dining experience, and I appreciate the effort they put into creating a cozy and enjoyable environment. A little adjustment on the seasoning would make it even better!
Would I come back? Absolutely! There’s still plenty on the menu worth exploring!

Love the atmosphere here. The hand painted barrel chairs are so comfortable. The service is fantastic, the staff is so friendly and even though it is usually crowded, it moves quickly. The outside seating is very nice and is just as big as the inside seating. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. (I can never eat more than half of mine). Prices are not bad for the area at all.

Absolutely the best Mexican food and restaurant overall. I can’t tell you how good the food is and how good it looks when it arrives. The wait staff are awesome and attentive and customer service is outstanding. Love the decor and outdoor seating. I always stop here when I’m in Nashville.

I went there late Thursday night. The place was almost empty. I ordered chicken Jalisco. I must say the food taste was great. Chicken was juicy and tender. Had a lot of veggies in it. Not so oily. Ambience is good and staff is friendly.
