Casa Teresa is a Spanish restaurant by chef Rubén Garcia. Open-fire cooking and seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. Rubén García’s roots in the culinary world run through Spain’s finest kitchens. Beginning in the Michelin star kitchens of Jean Luc Figueras and Martín Berasategui, Rubén enhanced his knowledge of innovative techniques, imaginative presentation and high-quality products during his five years with Ferran Adrià at El Bulli. Rubén continued pushing the limits of avant-garde cooking as creative director of minibar, working closely with chef Jose Andres. Inspired by the life and cooking of his abuela Teresa, Rubén founded Casa Teresa as an homage to the home cooks who created the tradition of Spanish cuisine.

RW menu was a good way to sample a variety of their popular dishes. For RW, they provide four starters – How to Pa Amb Tomaquet (Their version of Pan de cristal con tomate), Manchego Cheese, Gazpacho de Remolacha (beet and tomato soup) and Las Croquetas de le Dolors. I did enjoy all of these dishes and would get the Croquetas, Manchego cheese and Pa Amb Tomaquet again during my next visit.
For RW entrees, there were two choices, the steak or fish of the day, which was Spanish Mackerel. The Spanish Mackerel was really good- this didn’t have any bones in it. The NY Strip was just okay. It wasn’t very tender. I would try their other entrees besides the steak the next time I dine here. A great way to finish the meal was their flan which was great.
The dinner experience was elevated by María, whose way of presenting the menu awakens your senses. The starters were all excellent, with the beet gazpacho being my favorite. I chose the fish for my main course—impeccable, accompanied by steamed potatoes and generous grilled vegetables full of flavor.
Great drink options at Restaurant Week prices. A glass of cava paired perfectly with the flan for dessert. A truly well-executed experience by the Ruben Garcia chef’s team.
Walking inside is stepping into Spain with tile below and above you and pots hanging from the ceiling. Peek into the kitchen to see the open fire.
Dining here with a group, their back table was perfect for a more quiet dining experience.
Every dish was worth ordering, but the beet gazpacho, croquettes, and stew were the winners. The stew is the recipe of the chef’s grandmother, the founder of Spain’s first political party for and by women.
If you love Spanish food, book a table here. It’s worth your time.
Our wait staff (Michelle + Jose) were fantastic; very attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly without being intrusive. We started with some delicious cocktails (shout out to Anthony + Jamil), which set the tone for the amazing meal to come.
And the food! Insanely good. Every dish was a flavor explosion, and cooked to perfection (pictured is the ibérico pork). We shared a number of small plates (pan con tomate, croquetas, patatas fritas – just to name a few) and each one was better than the last!
Highly recommend for a girls night or a date night or any special gathering!
The scallops cooked in the shell were interesting! I liked the veggies with the aioli, which was clearly well made. The romesco sauce was with hazelnuts which gave it a unique flavor.
We went late and it was quite quiet. We sat at the bar and were two of few people there. The bartender was really attentive, friendly, and helpful!
