Food was just okay, service not bad, atmosphere nice and in front of the sea. Overall, a good experience but I don’t think I will come again because there are many better options around in the city.

I ordered two main courses. The food was very bad: it was extremely salty, the pasta was overcooked and mushy. It did not contain any type of seafood except frozen calamari and very small frozen shrimp. The cream sauce was watery, like plain water.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Casa Samak yesterday afternoon with my Husband. The seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious, full of rich flavors that truly impressed us. The service was exceptional as well as friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. We had high hopes for this seafood restaurant, but it was a complete letdown. We ordered the seafood platter with extra crispy calamari, only to be served rubbery, hard-to-chew pieces. The prawns were overwhelmed with cumin, making them inedible, and the mussels had an off-putting taste. The fish was raw in the middle while somehow crispy on the sides—a clear sign of poor cooking. The chowder looked nothing like the menu photo and tasted like straight-up cream. Honestly, everything was bad, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, from the chef to the manager. The food was simply outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was evident that they take great pride in sourcing the freshest seafood. Thanks to Iftekhar’s recommendation, Casa Samak has become my go-to seafood destination in the UAE.
