My family has eaten at Casa Ramos twice – this December and last while visiting Sacramento. We’re vegetarians, and since the beans were cooked with vegetable oil rather than lard, we had lots of options. My wife ordered a Cadillac margarita and the presentation was wonderful (Gran Marnier on a ring float on top of the margarita). Both times the food and service were excellent! We will definitely come back when we are in town again.

Very disappointed to be honest with you… great place friendly; although the last two times I’ve gone I been very disappointed in the food. I got a seafood burrito with legit 3 pieces of shrimp and no other seafood in the burrito and not to mention I’m not ordering an enchilada. A burrito is totally different from what burritos you guys have given me. Very unhappy and will not be returning with my family. I always tip very nicely sad we have to find a new family sit down now. Seems like you guys are getting cheap.

The food was okay. We ordered chile Colorado and chili Verde. Have had both from numerous Mexican spots and this one was okay. The Colorado one was missing flavor. The verde was okay as well. Our flour tortillas came out super hot. The rice was salty & refried beans were ok. The service could be better. They didn’t refill our water till after a while and when they did my water had something in it. They offer chips and salsas for free but our chips had hair in it which was very disappointing to see. It was at the bottom of the chips. The place was very cute and had some nice decor. Light Mexican music playing. They prefer cash to be accepted as a form of payment and offer a 15% discount on your next visit. I would try again to see if they would improve.

(Same review by me on Yelp)

Found this gem at a work trip and food was authentic and delicious! The lamb shank was tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. I wasn’t given the option to order black beans, which was my preference instead of kidney beans. Both dishes came with tortilla on the side and dinner was satisfying.

Good Mexican food here. I selected from the lunch specials since they were priced lower than the regular items.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant is well decorated walls with murals, Hispanic theme items, and music.
There is also a large selection of tequila to try too if you are interested.

The Tub of Tequila. After a LONG day dealing with my kids (5 & 3 y.o)and what felt lk a mountian of BS. When the sharply dressed and empathetic waitress looked at my amazing wife’s tired an my tired, frazzled, looking faces. She deftly took our drink orders an politely waited for me to fumble my margarita drink request due to tiredness…. when asked “regular or Large?” Lk any guy I answered “Large” expecting a decent sized drink. What I was not expecting was what looked and felt lk a “Small Tub” of Tequila with flavor. A gourd. A I needed a cup an the only thing I could find was medium sized Vase I took the flowers out of to use, A “I’ve had smaller “Thirst buster XL” sodas” from circle K… an then as I stared my wife down in a “were ready to go waste not want not” duel of wills…. our server walks up raises an eyebrow seeing the determination on my face while staring down my wife an with a nod lk a boss with a chin lift says “you want to take it to go?” Oh the fury on my wife’s face she shot him as I said “yes, totally.” Just make sure you don’t pop the seal before your outside of the parking area. Request granted. Drunk most of the rest of the night… .. .. oh an food was pretty good. Hit the spot where good food, meets clean, meets fancy display, meets price point for a decent night out. Family of 4 ninety one $ includs my 21 $ “Tub of Tequila”. had me lit for hours… an I can Drink when call arises.

We were here last year from LA, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, this time, the food was horrible! I ordered the fish taco combination, and the fish tacos weren’t even batered. They were grilled and chopped into pieces. At first, i was like hmm they still look good, but unfortunately, they weren’t. I asked my husband to try it, and after doing so, he started to feel ill. My husband ordered a mocajete with extra meat, and it turned out to look more like a caldo de salsa with only 2 small pieces of chicken and 2 small pieces of meat. A molcahete should have at LEAST had a nopal and green onions, Queso, jalapeños and, etc.
The only good thing was the rice and fresh guacamole. We still end up eating our food because food is sacred.
Wouldn’t come here again.
