We stopped in on the way from Topeka to Wichita. We found out quickly that the large beautiful doors that resembled Aztec calendar is NOT the main entrance lol We walked into a great party though. We made our way to correct entrance and was greeted immediately. Chips and salsa was good not the best. Thin chips , salsa was a bit too much tomato paste. The kids plate was Asada and the meat was fantastic, I snuck a dad tax sample Carnitas were very good. I ate the Sopitos, with asada for my meat choice. All was well except two of the three were very hard on the edge. I judged it on the best one and it was very good. The tortillas didn’t have an authentic taste, however they were fluffy. Overall , the staff was very attentive, the meat is of great quality and flavors. We will have to return for margaritas as we did not try them .

Great food, fun atmosphere. You can eat inside or on the patio where they have outdoor games very lively but relaxed. The portions are quite big, so you definitely won’t leave hungry.

This is based on our first visit to Casa Ramos. Simply put, it will not be our last visit.

We had 4 in our party, ranging from 70 to 13 years, and we were all quite pleased with the experience. The decor is a bit kitsch, but comfortable, and with plenty of space even for the plus size guys in our group. Our server was attentive, but quite willing to give us time to peruse a menu with which we were not familiar.

Once our order was placed or food was delivered, piping hot and fresh in under 7 minutes. Rather impressive as while they were not packed, they were busy.

Overall a very pleasant experience and one that I know we will return to again when we are back in Emporia.

Food excellent as always. Tried a new drink the smokey coco pineapple, so good. My husband had the large combo. I had the Mexican burrito with al pastor was very good. Since it was St Patty’s Day weekend, the queso was green. It was all very good.

Count the memories, not the calories! It was the big dinner with best friends in the the incredible place. It’s small restaurant in Pontons opened by a young couple Bruno and Kate. This cozy place has left the best impressions! You should skip several meals before visiting this amazing restaurant. Everything is so tasty, you cannot restraint yourself from having all of the dishes. Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful desserts. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again Guys thank a lot for this amazing evening

Popped in for dinner on our way to Central Kansas from KC. Beautiful restaurant that reminded us of Cabo. Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff. Our server was not very attentive and why I gave a 4 rating and not a 5. We did not have alcohol but they do have a well stocked bar. Maybe another time. We will be back!

The food here is awesome! They make fresh guacamole at the table. They add as much of the ingredients that you want. The salsa is made fresh and tastes delicious, it’s a hardy salsa which I like. Everything that we tried was delicious. There’s a lot of seating. All the staff is very friendly. The bartenders make great drinks. This is a great little spot in emporia.

Excellent service, and great food that was priced right. Very nice atmosphere, plenty of seating without being too squished together. Will definitely go back when we visit Emporia.

We were a group of 11 on graduation night for Emporia State. The reservation was for 7:30. We ordered food and waited a long time to get it. Although there were options listed for sides, we were not asked which beans or rice we would like and got a random surprise choice. When a party member ordered queso dip, they did not bring any extra chips, and they ran out of chips before the dip was even half gone. The first tray full of our hot food was placed on a stand near the table and allowed to sit for about 5 minutes while they brought a 2nd tray of plates to another stand. After a few more minutes, someone came to hand out our food. There were still a few more plates to go, so we waited for the rest of the food. One of our party members did not get her plate and it appears they had forgotten her order. About 5 minutes later, her food finally was brought. We had to ask for silverware after we had already received our food. They brought one set of silverware and it took a few more minutes to get enough for the table. One party member was missing his tortillas for his fajitas. By the time we got to eat, the food was lukewarm, and we were getting tired of trying to find someone to help our table. Our server was very nice, but she seemed to have too many tables assigned to her to provide adequate service. The portions of some items were very large, but some were very small, for similar prices. A bowl of tortilla soup was over $9. Vegetarian item prices were the same as varieties of similar meals with meat. I had enchiladas espinaca, and they were good, but quite small. The white rice was plain with little pieces of carrot, corn, and peas in it. The bowl of beans that came with it was bland. Hopefully this restaurant has better service on slower days, or for smaller parties whose gratuity is determined by service received rather than being automatically added.
