We ordered the ravioli and the puff pastries as apps. Unfortunately the ravioli wasn’t great and neither were the puff apps which were pretty disappointing.
The entrees were much better. Steak was delicious as was the chicken. We ordered the tiramisu (not pictured). While
It was very “Instagramable” it was very delicious, so hats off for that!
Service was ok. I’m not partial to young, inexperienced waiters. I’m sure once they find their footing theyll get more experienced waiters. Overall not a bad exp outside of the apps being a 2 out of 10.
For food we ordered the spaghetti which tasted like fresh pasta in a rich tomato sauce with Tomato. The steak was medium rare and great. The cacio e pepe was prepared so beautifully. The desserts were the best part- we loved the entire experience. For cocktails I recommend an espresso martini.
For birthdays or anniversary this place is worth it.
Don’t hesitate and make that reservation. This place is a 10/10.
The food is, without question, the heart of the experience. Every dish arrives beautifully presented, with flavors that feel fresh, balanced, and intentionally crafted. There’s a clear attention to detail—from the ingredients to the seasoning. It’s the kind of restaurant where you take one bite and think, “I need to come back for this.”
If you’re looking for a place to eat well, relax, and feel that your time and money were well spent, Casa Ragazzi is an excellent choice. It’s a restaurant that invites you to return.
The food is nothing short of incredible. Every dish was beautifully prepared, impeccably balanced, and rich in authentic flavor, showcasing the finest ingredients. The pasta was absolutely perfect, the best I ever had.
The cocktails deserve their own standing ovation. Creative, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced, they paired seamlessly with the meal and elevated the entire experience.
The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. This is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit.
Impeccable service, outstanding food, and exquisite cocktails make this restaurant truly stand out. A must-visit for anyone seeking an Italian cuisine done exceptionally well.
The space itself is beautiful and definitely gives date-night vibes. It feels intimate and cozy, though the tables are a bit close together, so it’s not the most private setting, but it works for the atmosphere they’re going for.
It is on the pricier side and the portions are on the smaller side, but that seems intentional since they’re clearly positioning themselves as a more upscale, fancy Italian spot. Overall, the quality and experience make it worth it if you’re looking for a nice night out.
Service was absolutely exceptional. Our waitress Allie was very attentive and her and Bruno took such good care of us during our visit. We also had the pleasure of meeting Chef Simone. Definitely coming back here regularly!
Style: Style is definitely there. The details are immaculate and rival a bustling NYC restaurant. Amazing glassware, ornate dishes, marble and oak.
Service: My waiter was amazing, I wish I got his name. I was the only diner for lunch but he was attentive, professional and friendly without being too overbearing.
The Drinks: okay wine list- small but understandable, especially for a new restaurant. My waiter (also bartender) made a really good espresso martini- introduced me to a new type of vodka which I enjoy.
The Food: The actual food is what fell short for me. Especially for the price – which is pretty steep in my opinion (lunch menu price is same as dinner price which is interesting). I ordered the scallops which were plated beautifully but lacked flavor. I think with a harder sear and more seasoning, it would have been more enjoyable.Loved the idea of a pea puree, but the texture leaned more lumpy than smooth and velvety. Also, the lemon in the dish didn’t taste fresh and zingy, but more on the sour side for me. The cacio e pepe was okay- great portion size (dinner portion) but again lacked flavor and richness for me. The coconut meringue in the pana coco was definitely the best three bites of food I had all day. The passion fruit gelee was on the tart side for me, again, it could be the sourness of the lemon or lime used. My biggest qualm is that the price of my meal didn’t equate to its value.
The verdict: Casa Ragazzi is definitely delivering on style but for me, the jury is still out on the substance. It is a new restaurant trying to gain traction and solidify their place in New Brunswick’s fine dining scene- which is no small feat.
