What a pleasant surprise to stop in for a quick late lunch, early supper!
My how this atmosphere has changed since the last time I was here.. the food that I ordered was delicious and pretty to look at. The salsa and chips were fresh, tasty and not overly spicy. I ordered the 2 enchiladas plate, one beef and the other chicken. Yummmeeee. Guacamole was fresh too. Wakie, my server, very helpful and attentive. Check em out when your nearby and have a hunger for easy authentic Mexican food.

One word: Delicious! We were in Sarasota visiting family. We chose this place as no one had eaten here so I’d be something out of the norm. We are so glad we did. It was a busy Saturday Night but there was Zero wait time. The food was delicious, our server was on it! We had fresh guacamole made at our table, they wheel a cart out and ask about adding each ingredient and let me tell you it was phenomenal! We had chicken fajitas. At first I wasn’t sure because they aren’t in the usual juice like liquid they where seasoned but let me tell you the picture doesn’t do it justice! The cheese sauce was very good. My in-laws got Enchiladas and they raved about the presentation and taste. Being honest there was one thing that we didn’t care for and it was the booth seats that were super low to the floor but other than that it was perfection and they will be going back and we will when we land back in Sarasota. There’s indoor or outdoor seating. Plenty of handicap parking as well as normal parking. The rest rooms are handicap accessible. The bar area has a wide selection of adult beverage choices with plenty of bar seating.

Good evening. 4 adults dining tonight. Let’s start at the beginning. Friendly staff, kinda quiet for a Saturday night @ 6 p.m., parking definitely available and tables galore. We were seated promptly and our server was there immediately to accept a drink order, which was great. Blackberry Peach Margarita was a hit with my DIL, my better half had a Spicy Margarita that she gave a 6/10, it was definitely heavy on the lime, and light on the Tequila. My son and I had a couple beers each that were ice cold and frosty. On to the food. Presentation was great, plates were hot to keep the food warm, always love this idea. My son’s Shrimp Burrito was packed with shrimp, good spring to the shrimp (fresh) and great flavor. My DIL had the veggie fajitas and she said were cooked perfectly, still a little crunch to all her veggies (perfect, and not overcooked). My GF and I both had the Carne Asada Burritos. The steak was a little overcooked, a bit dry, and lacking any seasoning…missing the mark of “GREAT.” The sides of beans and rice were generous and perfect. So overall, a solid 4/5. I’m a carnivore so Carne Asada is my jam…lol. Will definitely give this another try to explore the other options.

Great.
The building was hot when I got there but cooled off.
I went specifically for their taco and beer Tuesday deal.
$2.50 12 oz draft.
I got three coronas.
The tacos are either $2 or $2.50 depending on what you get.
I got a hard shell Carne Asada.
It was: Hard shell, Cilantro, Carne Asada.
It was very good.
Their ground beef quality is low beef was seasoned well.
It tasted good and I like the seasoning on the food.
My only issue is they charge $2 for a small cup of sour cream which is a little insane. $.50 is the expectation so that was shocking to see.
I’ll probably come back without purchasing cream haha

My buddy and i dined in last night for the first time and i immediately loved how the place was decorated, We sat down and checked out the menu, it’s vast and unique. Many options to choose from, but what took me back immediately was the price point of items, The apps were the same price as some of the entrees. For the area of the restaurant, these prices reminded me of the key or St Armands. I had a Chimmi which was tasty, but did look like it had sat under the lamp longer than normal, it wasn’t crisp and had the texture of a burrito. My friend had El pastor which was more than my Chimmi, The portion size for the price point is not great. It wasn’t busy and the service was sub par TBH. We waited too long to pay our bill and eventually had walk to the bar to pay. My bill came to $23. Also i think $4.50 for an iced tea is a bit steep.

WARNING: This is the most expensive Mexican restaurant that I’ve ever been too and the food is nothing special. $27 for carna asada. I normally pay $13 for the exact same thing at the restaurant by my house. I understand that restaurant prices are usually more money in Florida but this is just ridiculous. $30 for a dozen tamales is outrageous. I normally pay $13. I wish we would have just walked out when we seen the prices. No wonder there was only 6 other people there during dinner time. Service was awful, the waiter barely spoke English, couldn’t understand a single thing he said. The only positive thing that I can say about this place, is the decor. Very clean and modern. Not all the wild colors you normally see at a Mexican restaurant.

This was honestly one of the worst Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. The beans tasted like they’d been infused with Marlboro cigarette smoke, the tacos were bland and somehow worse than cheap American-style tacos nothing authentic about them at all. The rice tasted like it came straight out of a boxed mix. The only halfway decent thing here was the chips and salsa, and even that wasn’t enough to save the meal.

Casa Patrón never disappoints. The food is absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and always fresh. Every dish is beautifully presented and tastes amazing — you can tell a lot of care goes into the kitchen.
The atmosphere is vibrant, fun, and welcoming, making it the perfect place for a great night out. On top of that, the service is excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. Drinks are top tier, especially the margaritas, and everything comes out quickly without feeling rushed.
If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, great vibes, and amazing service, Casa Patrón is the place to go. Highly recommend — one of my favorite spots, and I’ll definitely keep coming back! ✨

First time, won’t be the last time. Had Chiles Poblanos, just melts in your mouth. Not a big fan of refried beans but they were spot on yummy. Our waitress Dani was more than helpful. Empanada appetizer was incredible.
