Not a good experience. We sat outside which was fine but service was spotty at best. Cat our serve staff was ok but not very attentive and then she went on her break, maybe a California thing we are not aware of, but basically just went to a nearby table and hung with other staff. Seemed odd. Food was ok. Chips and three varieties of salsa but no explanation of what they were. In addition no tea, no sparking water, no coke, no espresso(for espresso martinis). Overall blah. Would not return.

To start service here was awesome. Our bartender/server was attentive and made sure our drinks were always filled. Drinks, this is the place btw. Excellent margaritas!
Food wise, well, it’s pretty meh. For dinner we had chips and salsa, cheese quesadilla, carne asada tacos and chicken mole enchiladas. All were under seasoned, seriously, the smallest amount of salt would go a long way. I think they really should rethink their menu, it’s so basic and given the price it should be more creative and interesting.
The space is pretty cool, very Instagram. For me, I’d definitely come back for the margaritas!

We went here as part of a food tour and while we only got a small plate and couldn’t stay long, I knew I’d have to go back. The mole and Mezcal margarita were delicious!
Update: We went back two days later just for drinks and they were amazing. The bartender was super fast and friendly!

We were treated like royalty at Casa Octavio. Bartender, Alex, is so sweet he treats everyone like family.Their drag show was so fun. Great food, homemade chips and heated salsa with endless mimosas served with Jamaica juice , Tamarindo juice , and OJ. Over- the -top yummy!
The organizer Fernando was unbelievably kind. He moved us twice to make sure we have the best seats. Definitely will be attending this monthly event. Tickets are a steal considering drinks,food and live entertainment included. VIP tickets comes with parking!!!

Honestly, I don’t even want to give a great review because this it the type of rare and phenomenal place you tell your friends about. And why I say that is because the service and the food and the tequila section is unmatched. Like the the selection alone just embarrasses the other bars. It’s the type of thing where you don’t want to say anything because it hits so good and in all the right ways. So like I would say this absolutely true to anyone when I say the service here is the best I ever had. I have over 2.5 million views on my reviews and honestly it is whatever but the thing is I hope you don’t go because you won’t want to go anywhere else for this type of experience in the area. It’s crazy too because it is beyond impressive. Erica went above and beyond at the bar. Even when I walked in the owner greeted me and made me feel welcome as I wanted for the person I was gonna meet. You don’t get this at other places trust me. I am and will and definitely coming back here again. Last thing I will say is that anyone who rates this 4 or less obviously is drunk or has never been anywhere anytime ever. That’s so aggressive and I will admit that but it’s the best flavor of great service, great food and great ambiance. Not all places have all of that. Thank you for the owner and staff. It was a great experience.

Our food was delicious. We got bottomless mimosas. We were just walking by and the vibe was just good so we decided to try it. Our server was amazing, I’m not sure what her name was. Will definitely be coming back.

This rating is not based on the server, who did her best. The kitchen, in a maybe half-full restaurant, was embarrassingly slow. We finally cancelled our small food order (two chicken tacos and a quesadilla) after waiting 45 minutes and needing to leave to catch the start of the Padres game. And the guy running the front of the house seemed more interested in talking to his friend sitting at one of the tables than taking care of the customers. We live 2 blocks away and we wanted to like it and become regulars, but we won’t be back. There are too many other options in the neighborhood.

Came to this restaurant as a party of 5 after being highly dissatisfied by another restaurant we had made reservations for. We were greeted and seated quickly. They offered drinks right away and had a good price for bottomless mimosas! I ordered the rib eye steak and eggs, it was good just needed a little more salt on the steak. Otherwise a great expierance to have a brunch at and very close to the petco park to get drinks before the game too!
