Walked in the door and smelled the cleanest restaurant ever. I ordered a mixed drink and it was excellent. That ended the goodness. The food was abysmal and throughly unappetizing. I ordered the Milanesa which had been cooked to a dark brown and crispy state. When I questioned the owner, he said ‘That is the way we do it here.’ The beans were bland and the rice was nothing to write home about.
CANNOT RECOMMEND.

Salsa my favorite thing there. Otherwise average Tex-Mex. Service was ok. Queso just runny yellow cheese. Tacos were good. Lunch partner had Huevos Rancheros and he said they were ok.

Great food! Authentic food to!! Salsa is amazing just right amount of spicy for those who love great spicy salsa and can get your mouth hot after a dozen chips or so! Staff is fast and sanitary during this pandemic! This place is popular and looks like a good hangout spot!

If you’re looking for actual authentic Mexican food, this is the place. If you want silverware with your $40 takeout order so that everything doesnt get cold while you obtained silverware….THIS IS NOT THE pLACE
Not cool guys.

I was surprised at how well the place was, the chips and salsa are amazing and the options for the meals are plentiful with options to change somethings if you dont want it as it comes

Excellent food and service. Been going since I was a kid. It’s more than a restaurant, but has the personal touch of being family owned and operated.

Tiny pros:
*Average friendly staff
*No long waiting for food because it’s not busy
Big cons: ‼️❌
*High price for small portion
*Food is not hot when server served it
*It was most like a canteen than a restaurant
*You’ll be charged for using your card to pay without the staff telling you in advance.
*Restaurant is clean but had a smelly baby diaper odor in the bathroom. I had to hold my breath untill I finished washing my hands. No problem here with babies, just the bathroom smell only.
Always vote with your wallet and praise those who offer the best value and treat you right. This was not the case at “Casa Morales Restaurant”.

This place has great salsa, some of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I ordered beef fajitas and I was disappointed. I don’t like what I call fajita “bites”, where the beef is chopped into very small pieces. The beef was also very tough though it was tasty enough. The Chile con Queso was good, not great. The rice and beans were typical of any Tex Mex restaurant. All in all I probably will try another Mexican restaurant if I am in the area, but this restaurant is fairly close to CHI St. Lukes hospital so the location is convenient.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience deserves a warning to others. If you’re looking to actually eat and leave full, this is not the place for you. The portion sizes were ridiculously small — think “appetizer sampler” served as a full entrée.
I ordered a main dish that looked like it belonged on a toddler’s plate. For the price, I expected at least a decent portion, but what I got was barely enough to call a snack. My friend ordered something different and had the same reaction — we both just looked at our plates and laughed in disbelief. We ended up stopping somewhere else afterward because we were still hungry.
The food itself wasn’t even memorable enough to justify the tiny serving. A fancy presentation doesn’t make up for leaving your customers hungry. Definitely not worth the hype or the price. I won’t be back.

Been eating here since I was 6. I love this place, it is one of a kind. I recommend to anyone, may the Lord keep blessing this business as well as it’s ownership(The Aguilars), Angel, Jose, and the entire staff. They are the best. The food is always on point, it has a welcoming atmosphere, and is a great place to turn on the jukebox and relax. Great place and great people, with great service. They always have treated me like family for over 32 years, since my first visit. (Romans 8:28).
