This place doesn’t do it for me. My husband loves the food but I think it’s greasy and below average. They do have a good happy hour, but their vegetarian and vegan options are lacking. We’ve been here 5+ times and I’ve never been thrilled. The bartender was nice but i think you can get better food and quality at other Mexican restaurants in the area. The reason this place does so well is because it’s the only one locally that’s bright and clean.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious and the margaritas were immaculate! Sandra did a wonderful job of taking care of us. I had a huge burrito and my wife had fajitas. My wife said even the restroom had a pleasant scent and was very clean.

Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in some time. Coming from CA, it’s difficult to enjoy a good burrito with the proper mole sauce. Flavors here were fantastic. Staff was friendly and decent environment. My wife and I will be back in the coming weeks.

With so many so-so Mexican restaurants in the area, I was skeptical as we pulled into the parking lot, but this place has good vibes upon entering the door! The bar is huge, plenty of space to sit and enjoy drinks or dinner, and watch a little TV. The Mariposa theme is carried throughout the restaurant in such a beautiful, passionate way! We loved the monarch (Monarca) butterfly photo spot! We were greeted with a welcome and smiles by Christian. After being sat, we were treated to light and crispy (NON-GREASY) chips-n-salsa. I had the Monarca Margarita (delicious) and my guest had the Pink Margarita (prickly pear)! So good!!! We ordered the Elote Mexican corn appetizer! Very flavorful and delicious, 2 ears of corn, quite generous! Then we had the Molé Enchiladas and Taco Salad! Both were amazing but the services was astonishing! We were so lucky to have the GM personally speak with us! Clearly it wasn’t a busy Thursday but she let us taste the jalapeño sauce and a spicy salsa, just to “show off” they’re beautiful flavors! lol So do yourself a favor and don’t fill up on the regular ole chips and salsa and go all the way to dessert! I haven’t had sopapillas since I was a kid and it was well worth the wait! That dough was so light and airy/crispy with the hint of honey and cinnamon sugar! ANNNND…they serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! What a perfect finish to a beautiful meal! Thank you Tony, Ulpiana and Christian for putting so much love into your restaurant and the food you serve…IT SHOWS!!! Can’t wait to come back and try other menu items!!

The ambiance is amazing. It’s gorgeous inside. The service was really good. The alcoholic beverages were amazing. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars was because of the food. The food was just okay. Definitely not authentic Mexican food, for a place that bills itself as authentic. It is for sure trendy Mexican. I would definitely come again though. Because for me, the alcohol really makes and breaks a restaurant.

I hosted an event at this location and so pleased with the evening. The staff was so supportive and helpful not to mention the food was fantastic. There were 26 in my party and I was concerned about how quickly we would be served. To my surprise the food was at our tables in no time and was piping hot. Service from our waitress, Ulpiana, was superior. To handle this many customers in such a timely fashion was truly remarkable. No complains since the portions were large and the service was quick. I would highly recommend Casa Monarca for any event. Great service, wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food. Thanks for a great evening.
