The restaurant is big and has several walk through dining areas including some outside. Great for larger parties and families! There is also a bar area up front for smaller or individual parties.
I ordered the crab cake sandwich which from having the crab cake platter, I prefer the sandwich version. I also got the cream of crab soup which was delicious with some lump pieces of crab meat. Not too thick or too thin either! We also got a plate of fried pickles and it was not my favorite as they do it in spear form so the breading kind of slides off from the first bite. Chips would be preferred. The calamari however was the complete opposite! Really light batter fried perfectly with peppers!! Highly recommend!
Went to Casa Mia’s Restaurant to celebrate my daughter’s and my birthdays in September. On a Friday night and my wife forgot to make reservations. Oops! When we arrived there were cars parked on the side of York Road, maybe 20-25 of them. Ouch! We were lucky to grab a parking spot as someone left. My daughter went in to check on how long the wait was – and they found a table for the four of us.
Needless to say it was busy… and loud with live music almost deafening. We were brought menus and waters. My wife, a friend, and youngest daughter had joined the birthday team. Three of the four girls had not tasted “real” Maryland crab cakes before, so we ordered one as an appetizer. After a bit it came and was divided for each to try. They loved it! So the four girls each ordered the Crab Cake meal and I had my eye on the Prime Rib, on weekend menu.
After a wait, the meals came. The Crab Cakes came with side salads or fries. My Prime Rib came with Loaded Baked Potato and Asparagus, with horseradish on the side. The Crab Cakes were great! All the girls loved them. My Prime Rib was a different story. It was tough, many tendon(?) strings through it all that were very difficult to cut through. Now a little fat is great for flavor, but this Prime Rib was half see pic) gristle & fat. And there was no flavor to meat that was there. What I could eat, I had to salt & pepper to get any taste. Absolutely the worst Prime Rib I have ever been served.
And of course we had to have dessert to celebrate the birthdays. We ordered an chocolate peanut butter pie and It was an excellent.
The music was too loud to have conversations and tables having conversations talked loudly over the music, which made it even noisier! So if you love Maryland Crab Cakes, no place does it better. But stick with what they are famous for, otherwise take your chances. And if you want conversations, don’t come on weekend evenings.

Visiting family near Parkton, MD. Brother-in-law picked us up at Harrisburg airport. On the way to farm, knowing my wife’s devotion to Maryland Crab Cakes, he drove us here first.
We were seated right away, with menus and waters. My wife and brother of course had the Crab Cakes, each with side salad. Wife also had Creamed Spinach and brother had Fries. I selected Blackened Salmon with side salad and Creamed Spinach.
Our salads came quickly. Greek for wife, Caesar for Bro and Tossed for me. The salads were chilled, fresh and perfect start. Soon our meals arrived. My Salmon was not spicy so I requested a small dish of cayenne pepper to zest it up just right. The Creamed Spinach was great.
Now the biggest smile came on my wife’s face when she tasted the Crab Cake. She just never finds crab cakes that compare – anywhere. It was filled with big chunks of backfin meat. She offered me a bite and I was sold! Fantastic. I guess I had not previously had great crab cakes but from now own I will follow her lead.
Good service, good atmosphere and great food. This place is well worth a visit.
