They have an outdoor patio too for those warm days you want to be outside. I had the chicken and waffle, my friend had the spicy jalapeño omelette, and our friend tried the crab Benedict. The service was attentive and kind. The spot was busy but we got in pretty quick.
We will definitely be back!
I ordered a classic American breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, grilled chicken sausage, and breakfast potatoes roasted with rosemary and other herbs. Everything was comforting and satisfying. The potatoes were well seasoned, the eggs were cooked nicely, and I added avocado on top. The avocado wasn’t the freshest, but it was still decent.
Overall, nothing fancy, but a solid, hot, and filling meal that hit the spot. I’d definitely like to come back another day to sit down and enjoy breakfast there properly.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place! Definitely would come back to try other items
Then menu has all the American and Mexican brunch classics. Heuvos Rancheros were tasty – good eggs, crispy tortillas, generous helping of potatoes, the beans were well seasoned, and the toppings were good. Egg and cheese croissant was generously sized and it was a solid croissant. French toast was well-cooked and the butter has orange zest which gave it a nice kick. Chocolate Abeulita was rich and the cafe mocha was warm and good.
Service was fast and responsive, we were greeted quickly when we sat down, and got our drink order in. Waiter came back when we closed our menus and took our order, and the food came out pretty fast.
Food 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere 5
Cost to worth it rating: 3 (chilaquiles without meat was $20)
Opentableable: no
Return worthiness: yes!
Eve award: best chilaquiles
Highlights:
– Chilaquiles: wonderful thick and crunchy chips, just enough sauce so doesn’t drown them, and excellent flavor. Not just green and red but a full variety of sauces to choose from (poblano–what I got, Chipotle, cilantro, mole). –
– Can taste that it’s fresh and homemade. Fully support people commented these are the best outside of Mexico! Even better than a lot of ones I’ve had there. 5+ stars!
– Variety: Mexican brunch dishes are the stars, but for those feeling like something else they have lots of pancake options, waffles, french toast, omelettes, sandwiches etc
– Cheesesteak: not thin slices but big cut slices of meat in a French roll. Came with super crispy curly fries. 4 stars
– Grilled chicken sandwich: my teen son’s go to and he gave it a thumbs up. 4 stars
– Friendly staff: on arrival, service, and exit they were so welcoming. Appreciate the thoughtful recommendation on my chilaquiles sauce. When we spilled water on the table they came right away to clean it up, said it was no problem , and gave us a new water carafe.
– Atmosphere: very bright, clean, and open inside the dining room. I thought it was gonna be taqueria style so nicer than I thought but comfortable.
– Drinks: have Abuelita/Mexican hot chocolate, different flavored lattes, juices, mimosas (flights even), and beer
– Fast: we were on the later side at 1:30pm on a Saturday and were out the door in 20 minutes!
– Online order: can pickup if want to enjoy the food at home
Lowlights:
– Hear there can be a bit of a wait on popular times on the weekend
LOVED this place so much and hope to put it into the regular brunch rotation.
