If I’m being honest, I don’t like writing 1 star reviews but this was necessary. I’m going to walk you through our evening, which was supposed to be a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner, we get to Casa Mia and we’re seated immediately because of our reservation. 15 minutes go by and no waiter. At this point we are getting frustrated but understand it was Valentine’s Day. (I want to mention it was pretty empty). Finally, our waiter comes over and here’s how that went:
he did not tell us his names (no worries sometimes people forget to do that), he did not give us a drink menu (this was odd), he did not ask us if we wanted anything to drink (I’m not sure if that is typical here but we didn’t not get drinks) and the best part instead of him asking what we wanted to eat he quite literally just stared at us (we wanted to ask questions about the menu but it felt as though it got shunned off) 20 minutes go by from us ordering our food, at this point (45 minutes in) we had no silverware or plates and our waters had only been refilled once (this was the entire time). Our waiter came back over and asked us “do we have room for dessert” to which I replied (as kindly as possible) “we have not gotten our food yet”. He looked at us and said “where is your silverware” to which I replied again “we have not gotten our silverware yet.” He went back to the kitchen and let them know to bring our food, and of course, they brought the wrong food! They then brought the correct food but at this point we just wanted to go home. I got the gnocchi and my boyfriend got the tortellini, nothing special. I looked around the restaurant to see if he had acted this way to any other tables and I noticed the “regulars” got special treatments (eager goodbyes and hellos, some hugs, lots of laughs and chit chatting), us newbies were left out to the side. We finally got our checks and left. On the receipt his name was “ghost” which checks out because the entire night we were ghosted.

Our visit and definitely not our last! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this romantic restaurant! Val was our server and she truly enhanced our experience. She was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The food was top notch. We had addicting calamari, two of the delicious specials and the incredible lemon sorbet and the decadent tiramisu. Add a fantastic bottle of wine and you have a memorable and scrumptious meal!

The only negative here is that this place is at the higher end of price. The food was excellent. Service excellent. Atmosphere perfect. Price was just high. Technically worth it for a special occasion. Even their home made sausage was terrific.

Excellent meal with a great atmosphere and good manners. The iced tea was delicious and the bread was amazing. I ordered the risotto di Andrea. The scallops were perfectly cooked with a seared taste yet still melted in your mouth. I will definitely be back and am excited to try other items on the menu.

I had not been to Casa for about eight years. New owners. Prices are much higher. Service was extremely slow as I believe they are understaffed. A Burrata salad was shared and it was very good but expensive. it can be definitely shared four ways. My pasta puttanesca could’ve been served hotter, but it was very good. Someone else ordered Stracciatella soup which he felt lacked flavor and his entrée was not served as hot as he would’ve preferred .dessert we shared spumoni, which is always good.
Not sure we will return as we feel there are other Italian restaurants we like better. We wish them success.
