This used to be the best pizza in Sparta, but over the last six months it’s completely gone to downhill . The pizza is disgusting now completely dried out and overdone. I don’t know what happened because their pizza used to be so good. I’ve given this place a couple chances thinking that maybe they just had a bad day but the last three times has been horrible so I am now done. They will not get my business anymore. There’s way better places I can go to!! Just look at the picture… This looks like pizza that’s been sitting there all day, but this was made fresh. And the picture was taken only 15 minutes after bringing it home. Dave Portnoy would have spit this rock hard pizza out.

Its another italian restaurant. We went there for dinner with some friends of ours visiting. Food was good, server was good to. We didn’t care for the stuffed artichoke, it left like just eating bread and not the artichoke it self. Not that bad prices, would go back again to try some different foods.

I had a good time here! The prices were a tad high for what I’m used to but seemed appropriate for the area. The food was actually pretty good and quickly served! The waitress was very nice, too – she deserves a good shout out. I’m not from Sparta but I used to live in a house on Lake Mohawk when I was little and it was a jarring first time back in over 20 years. And the waitress was really fun to speak with about the area and the people! She was very good and on top of things! My grandmother, who is supremely picky about restaurants, even gave the place a thumbs up.
A quick quirk about this place – you walk in and it first looks like a fast pizza shop but then it actually opens up to a small but fully fledged restaurant with typical (but still nice!) murals. And on the walls are historical photos of the area.
I think this is a decent place to eat if you’re looking for something fairly inexpensive and casual!

Me & my wife ate lunch here on Sat. 8/29/25. Food was delicious & our server , Dynasty, was awesome.
Would definitely go back next time we decide to visit Lake Mohawk.

Came here for a slice of pizza. They have really thin slices which my husband loves. I got a ziti slice. Great flavor, mild not too strong in cheese flavor or tomato, everything balanced and good. Only thing was slices could have been warmed up more. There are a couple of tables if you get slices that you can eat at adjacent to the restaraunt seating. Staff were very friendly and nice. Though very limited public parking around.

Ordered stuffed mushrooms, diet coke and the shrimp scampi. Server was very nice, but she brought me out a bottle of coke that was not really cold. I asked for a cup with ice, and she grabbed it for me. Stuffed mushrooms were okay. I had better, and I had worse. The shrimp scampi came out and looked great. I bit into the shrimp, and it was slightly warm on the outside and cold/cool in the center. I sent the dish back asking them to throw the entire dish into a frying pan to thoroughly cook everything. The server brought the dish back out, and it was hotter, but the shrimp still had a tough texture and was weird. So I didn’t eat it. I ate a few bites of the pasta, which, with the heavily garliced scampi sauce , as pretty good, but I was turned off by the shrimp.
Asked for my check and left. The server was pretty apologetic. Should have stuck with my original idea of a slice or two of cheese pizza.
