Came here for a slice of pizza. They have really thin slices which my husband loves. I got a ziti slice. Great flavor, mild not too strong in cheese flavor or tomato, everything balanced and good. Only thing was slices could have been warmed up more. There are a couple of tables if you get slices that you can eat at adjacent to the restaraunt seating. Staff were very friendly and nice. Though very limited public parking around.

We dined al fresco at Casa Mia last night and had the best time ! We had a ring side seat watching the crowd of summer time visitors to beautiful Lake Mohawk. Our pizza was perfect ! The service was friendly and prompt and the best part was meeting Mike the owner who personally came outside to ask if our pizza was good ! WHO does this anymore? More proprietors SHOULD ….. but don’t.

I had a good time here! The prices were a tad high for what I’m used to but seemed appropriate for the area. The food was actually pretty good and quickly served! The waitress was very nice, too – she deserves a good shout out. I’m not from Sparta but I used to live in a house on Lake Mohawk when I was little and it was a jarring first time back in over 20 years. And the waitress was really fun to speak with about the area and the people! She was very good and on top of things! My grandmother, who is supremely picky about restaurants, even gave the place a thumbs up.

Server was very nice, but I disliked the food. I ordered a personal pizza, but got a small lunchable looking pizza on a paper plate cut into 4 slices. It was soggy and the sauce and cheese was just slapped on there. I couldn’t even eat it, as I instantly gagged the second I took a bite of the pizza. The fries were also soggy, and they had no salt on them. Lots of cob webs, dust, and bugs around the restaurant, especially by the bathroom. The location, however, is very good, as it’s by the lake, boardwalk, and in downtown Sparta. The overall atmosphere and servers are great, but the food needs improvement.

What a terrific eatery! Family run and authentic dishes. Everything was wonderful including service, food, and pricing. This really was an old time Italian restaurant and pizza shop, looks just as great for take out as eat in. And in this nicer weather, there’s even a few tables outside. Just wish they were closer to our home, lol.

Scouting Specifically for a Regular Slice of Pizza for the Pizza Hunters App for 2022. Been a few Years since I have been to Casa Mia. They have been in business for 20 years, so they are doing something right. The Regular Slice was 80 Percent Coverage with Cheese. Only $2.00 for a Regular Slice. No Crust taste and the sauce was very minimal and watered down. I am sure it’s a good local fill your belly Slice of Pizza, but in the competitive arena, they would have some work to do.

Go to for takeout. Never a bad meal. Have to try out restaurant. People are nice and service is quick. Parking is a pain but manageable.
