So…possibly not the best-written review I’ve ever published but it is based on a couple dozen visits over a 4-year period. Even though I don’t have a single picture to include, I can state without exception that everything they served me was top-notch!
I’m not a big fan of ordering the same thing over and over again. Rather, I go back to a regular place like this one and look for things I haven’t tried. They have a huge menu so on those dozen or so visits, I’ve probably tried a total of about 10% of what they serve.
I’ve had their fajitas, tacos, burritos, tamales, carne asada, enchiladas, chili colorado, moles, etc. I’ve avoided the obvious gringo dishes and combo plates to better taste what their kitchen can really do. The answer is that everything has been fabulous!
Best bite? Hard to say but I really enjoyed their enchiladas with mole (not on the menu but I must be enough of a regular to order off-menu stuff). The mole is made in-house and pretty epic. Mole is probably one of the most time-consuming things they make and they make it really well.
Tequila selection is better than expected and prices are about average. Family-run and a lot of teamwork amongst the staff so service is uniformly good.

Love this place! Food is excellent and authentic. Wait times vary by how busy it is but the atmosphere and people are enjoyable to see and visit with. My last visit there was a birthday party and the waiters go all out, its fun to watch
I’ve also ordered on the app for pickup and love how fast and easy it was! The to-go food was hot when I got home and tasted great!
My favorite thing about this place is that they are very consistent, from the friendly fast service to the delicious food whether it’s eat in or to go, never had anything less than perfect ❤️ I will continue my regular visits here.

Fun place with friendly staff. However mid afternoon wasn’t busy but quality of service was poor, order was lost or not turned in to kitchen. Fnally after 20 minutes or more when we asked we had to reorder. Meat was plain/mild and enchiladas had very little sauce. I’m sure they have better days, but today it was slow and not very tasty.

We stopped on a Tuesday night. It was very busy but we were seated quickly. Service was very quick. As soon as our drinks were empty we were brought refills. I had the pork pastor street tacos, they were excellent. My son had the El pina tropical. It looked so fun and he enjoyed it. The food was excellent. The restaurant was noisy but other than that it was a great experience. We have a go to restaurant in Rice Lake.

The ground beef was dry and a day old can tell it was reheated from night before. Barely seasoned even! Was refused water when asked for it as i was told I already had a coke. They put double the amount of cheese on my order to make up for the nasty beef. Was 25% full and asked 5 times if I was going to leave and pay. WHY THE RUSH? In 4 decades of hundreds of Mexican food experiences this was the worst I ever experienced. No lie if I could have vomited what I did eat I would have.

Absolutely loved this place. Jorge was awesome. They special made a drink I wanted. Very friendly team. Food was so delicious. You could tell also the parking lot was full. Great time & lunch with sister in law.

Amazing as always! I Came in later on a Friday night and the place was packed. That didn’t slow things down one bit. Staff was great and food arrived very quickly. Best Mexican meal I’ve had prob since my last visit here. The shrimp chimichanga was packed full of shrimp and very flavorful. Keep it up!

If you love authentic Mexican cuisine YOU must stop in. The food is fresh and delicious! The staff is super friendly and we’re always making sure we had what we needed. Sorry about my picture it was good I had it finished before I realized I didn’t get my pictures!
