Excellwnt food and service. There was no line and hardly anyone in the restaurant (indoor and outdoor seating). It was such a slim crowd compared to the other restaurants in the area.I almost didn’t eat there because I was thinking that with no crowd. The food must not be that good. But I didn’t feel like eating at the fusion pizza place across the walk, and I was kind of in the mood for mexicans. So we walked in and boy, am I so happy. We did that. It had choices of combo of authentic, as well as americanized mexican. And to me, what I had was tasted like a fusion of asian mexican. It may have actually been a more traditional carnitas style burrito. But it had a chinese asian Hua Jiao Sa Liao (crushed pepper with light anise) flavor in the juicy roasted pork version that I ordered. For me, that was comfort food and super delicious. My wife got a traditional americanized quesadilla, and she loved it. Even better, they offered Mexican drinks from Mexico. So I got an old-fashioned cane sugar Coca-Cola that brought back sweet childhood memories with my first sip.. our waitress was super friendly and attentive, it was such a nice atmosphere, decorated and ready for halloween. And with a style and food flavor that made you just want to come back for more. Definitely a new stopping spot for us.Every time we visit the area now.

Very well presented, delicious Mexican dishes with some flair. The stone bowl “Molcajete” dishes were outstanding. Both inside and outside dining in Lakewood Ranch “Main Street” walkable dining area. About $20 per person ( not counting appetizers or drinks.) Parking about 50 yards away in large shared lot.

We chose to have lunch at Casa Maya after church! We arrived and were seated right away. We love the chips and salsa that they always give the table. We ordered 3 taco salads-one beef and two chicken-and one steak quesadilla. The food comes quickly and is always served hot! They have one of the best taco salads around! There were other diners that came in but it wasn’t so busy that it got too loud. This is one of our favorite places to go-lunch or dinner-you’re never disappointed!

I hate writing poor reviews, but if I can help 1 person not waste money then it’s worth it. The food was expensive, the menu was misleading. The food was a 5/10. Not bad but not good. I’d much prefer taco bell. Not much flavor and didn’t seem fresh. The most disappointing was the portion size. The chimichanga was extremely tiny for the price. Like a taco. Nothing like a real Mexican restaurant. The $3 quac and chips was a tiny 2 oz dressing cup with no chips. Maybe I got a bad meal, but I’ll personally never go back.

Although we were seated right away, we waited over 30 minutes to be asked what we would like to drink and then another 10 minute wait to put in our orders for the food.
The food came out fast, but anytime we needed refills or to ask for the check to pay it was another long wait.
The food itself was like any other Mexican restaurant so nothing that will knock your socks off here. 3/5 overall.

Absolutely delicious and no wait on a Friday night! Our margaritas were made perfect and the birria molcajetes for 2 was full of flavor with big portions! We’ll definitely be back soon!

For the past few years, the food has been consistently good. Due to my husband’s dietary restriction, he cannot have seeds, but his favorite Chile Relleno is seeded out well, and he doesn’t have to worry about it. I think we order dinner once a week from here. lol. I also come here with my co-workers for lunch, and the restaurant updated the lunch menu, and everything priced well. It’s our to-go place for lunch and/or dinner.

We were downtown Lakewood Ranch and ran across a very nice art show. Then we found Casa Maya and we were very pleased with this restaurant. Veronica was friendly and seated us where I had asked her to. The chips came warm and they were great. The salsa was mild and not too garlicky. 5 ⭐️. My tacos were really good and they were packed with plenty of meat. I was only able to eat 2 of 3. The fried rice was cooked perfect and tasted great. Wife’s chimichanga was very good and the beans were good. 5 ⭐️. The margarita was really good. Had great flavor and the right amount of alcohol $8.95 ⭐️. Veronica was great, food great , atmosphere was great. Will we go back? Hell yes and you should too.
