From the moment we walked in, Casa Madre completely blew me away. The decor is absolutely stunning—every detail is thought out, down to the bathrooms (so beautiful I was hesitant to even use it!). The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and perfect for a memorable night out.
The soup of the day is a must-try, no matter what it is. I had the cream of mushroom, and even though I normally don’t care for mushrooms, it was incredible.
But the true showstopper of the evening was the Chef’s Board. I have never in my life seen a presentation like this. From the pasta salad to the fresh fruits and exotic cheeses, every bite was perfection. It’s listed as being for two people, but my wife and I couldn’t even finish it. We were so happily full that we skipped entrees altogether.
This place is definitely worth coming back to, and we already plan on it. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the dining room is cozy and intimate. If you’re looking for a unique culinary experience with unmatched presentation, Casa Madre is the spot.

Casa Madre is a nice small place to go for more an intimate meal. They had lovely roses everywhere and the decor was chic. Food was great. Had the bacon wrapped dates and ‘pork belly wings’ to start. I would have left the belly cut in larger pieces to retain moisture as they were a bit dry in their 15 mm squares. All of the guests at the table either had the tilapia or the chile relleno, and sides of the scalloped potatoes…both were great. Downsides were the menu was a bit pricey for a casual dinner. The menu currently posted does not reflect pricing, Sept ’25.

We dined here earlier this evening and absolutely loved everything. Chef Dominque Stoller and her husband Morgan have created such an awesome restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire ambiance, the music/vibe, the attentive service and delicious food as well as drinks – the Horchata is amazing and refreshing. The entire staff is incredible and we look forward to coming back soon.

We highly recommend this intimate and beautiful restaurant. Please call/book a reservation as seating is limited. Parking was also not an issue for us near the entrance. We most definitely will return to this wonderful gem near downtown.

Second visit 9/11/25

My wonderful friend and I had the pleasure of dining here earlier this evening. I had the Uva Limon drink along with a few Mexican Cokes for each of us. We had two appetizers because it was far too difficult in choosing just one. We loved the bacon wrapped dates and the delicious Gambas Al Ajio (shrimp w/butter sauce). For our entrees, I had the pan seared Salmon dish and my companion enjoyed her Chile Relleno meal. Lastly, we shared the pink lemon ice cream with raspberry swirl. Tammy and the entire staff were amazing as always. We absolutely love this extraordinary restaurant and need to visit more frequently.

Casa Madre is a wonderful addition to Tucson’s restaurant scene! The ribeye steak is a must & is definitely splittable between 2 people.

What an experience! Incredible food, phenomenal service. I recently developed a rice allergy and since it’s brand new I’m still forgetting all the ways rice is involved in cuisine. Ordered a horchata because it looked delicious, only to realize after one sip that it’s indeed a rice-based drink (which deeply saddened me since it was so tasty). Either way, they were so accommodating to get my drink replaced and then made a note of my allergy for all other dishes! 🙂

What an amazing experience! From the food itself, to the service and ambience, Casa Madre exceeds expectations. We started with the Caprese salad, which incorporated pepitas for an interesting twist, followed by the chef board which along with its unique flavor combinations was enough food for an entire meal so beware. We ended with the ribeye and the chili rellano. Both were impeccably cooked and uniquely flavored. Each plate expressed to the chef’s love of food. We went home with leftovers, but we’re so glad we sampled the menu. We are definitely going back!

Wonderful evening, comfy setting on back patio, really superior service and amazing food. We only had appetizers – and two of three were exceptional. Caprese pictured was one of best ever and shrimp in butter to die for, asked for extra bread to sop up (as in earlier review) and chef-owner bused it out to us. Inside is small but very inviting. Desert ganache was made without liquor to accommodate and yummy. We will definitely be back any time we are in Tucson. Might even be worth drive down from Phoenix just for a dinner out (seriously!).

If you haven’t enjoyed a date night here, it’s a great place to start the evening. While quaint and unassuming from the outside, this cozy restaurant not only has a nice chill and upscale vibe, the food is also fabulous. Offering a depth of flavors and richness, I will be coming back for the food and atmosphere. They also offer a lovely back patio that will be a joy during the Tucson spring and summer evenings. Bravo Casa Madre!
