My family and I have been coming here for years same great cooks and great food as you walk in you’re welcomed with a warm at home atmosphere which sets the tone fore a great meal .
The staff is very attentive my waitress Carlos is always extremely helpful when we go on our regular Tuesday nights. The sizzling fajitas I usually get here Are very colorful which indicates a great seasoning plate that is very well portioned even shareable for two like most meals served here
my husband ordered nachos today instead of his usual super tacos and they were so pleasing, they never disappoint us.
The tortilla soup is extremely tasty !
Rice, guacamole appetizer and beans are always the best in town . If you’re ever in town I recommend Casa lupita hands down !!
Overall pricing is very fair for the amount of generous portions and exceptional food !

Everything was great and most of all our wonderful waiter, I believe his name was Jesus. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. Food was great and we had enough left over for seconds, portions are spot on. Their home-made chips are so good. It’s a small place tucked away in Gateway, worth the trip!!

Boy this place has really gone down hill! We used to like coming here but after today we won’t be back.
First, we waited for someone to greet and seat us but no one did. After a while, we walked to the back and found 2 young employees just chatting it up in the kitchen.
After getting seated it took a long time for the server to come to our table. Mind you, there was only one other couple there. The food was mostly ok but parts of my quesidilla were so hard I couldn’t cut or chew it!
Once finished, we waited for someone to bring us our bill. When no one did after quite a while, we got up and walked to the kitchen area to find the same 2 just chatting away again!
We finally got our bill, paid and left. Unfortunately, won’t be back.

Food was average at best. But the cost was too expensive. $5 for a side of rice. Everything cost separate. 3 people, $95. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Sticker shock. Old inside need updates.

Chicken fajitas are an absolutely disgusting yellow color, no seasoning, no flavor. Asked for chicken nachos and got ground beef with zero seasoning. Plate for fajitas wasn’t even hot, let alone sizzling as you would expect. Rice could’ve been Uncle Ben’s 90 second microwave rice from a pouch, literally just plain white rice. Told the waiter three of the six of us hated our food but we at least wanted the fajitas taken off the bill because not one bite was taken and he said he could give us 50% off the fajitas, then backtracked and said he could only do 25%. Wound up finally giving us 50% off the fajitas only even though they threw three of our six dishes in the trash. They added an automatic 20% gratuity for our group even though we were split two, two, and two. This place has the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Photos are how we left our plates.

Yeah I don’t know why anyone thinks this is not at least semi authentic or quality when I have never had a type of Mexican meal in America that is like this. The salsa, carnitas, sope and tamale were all unique and had a fresh-made feeling. Even the little things like beans are not like your local Mexican American restaurant . Yea it costs more than $12 for a meal but I do not think you will be able to finish most meals. When you pull up don’t worry there is a quaint smaller back seating area.

We’ve been going to Casa Lupita for many years now and they consistently deliver some of the best tasting Mexican food you’ll ever have and at a terrific value. The restaurant is clean and the staff are always excellent. The enchiladas with green sauce are killer good. A great happy hour too! A terrific family run restaurant. Highly recommended.

Casa Lupita is a hidden gem. The small front dining area is misleading as the back dining room is cozy. The food is amazing. Queso and chips comes with fresh bread. I got the super tacos with al pastor, amazing hand made tortillas real spicy sauce on side. Wife got enchiladas mix, they were drowned in sauce but also excellent flavors. Service is amazing as well!

Very extensive menu and everything looked reasonably priced, $11-$17 for full meals. Quickly received chips and salsa followed shortly by our drinks. I believe that beef burrito was the way to go. The restaurant was fairly empty on a Friday night and I’m betting it becomes a little uncomfortable if every table is full. But the food was plentiful and tasty. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area as it is a bit of a drive to visit regularly.

Such a treasure in Gateway. Had a wonderful lunch of enchiladas with rice and refried beans. Tres Leches cake for dessert and my entire meal was perfect. My server Jesus was the only one on duty at the time and he handled the dining room with ease and professionalism. I never felt neglected and he was very attentive to all the customers. Highly recommend! Have dessert-it’s divine!!!
