On Saturday went to Casa Lola with a friend, this was my 1st time. We walked in and the food smelled so good, the gentleman that greeted us was very friendly & professional, we asked if we could sit outside since it was a beautiful day. We were taken to a table and with in a minute a server was at the table greeting us and taking drink orders.

Ordered a couple sides, salsa / chips along with guacamole, it was fresh and delicious.

Our food came within minutes it was hot, delicious the portions were more than enough that included take home.

I will definitely be going back and taking friends or family with me.

Finally got to try this place! And oh my goodness, it’s gorgeous The food is soooo delicious! I got a cucumber mocktail and my friend got their homemade strawberry lemonade – they were so cute and yummy! We went during lunch on a holiday and there was plenty of parking! It’s downtown- so you have to pay for parking and I’m sure weekends get busy! So beware

We made a reservation and there was no wait! I like that they will seat you even though your entire party hasn’t arrived – there’s a similar restaurant in the area – will not name that will not seat you until everyone in your party arrives. So I definitely appreciate this place’s great customer service!

This place is just gorgeous and I will definitely come back and try more menu items!

We had the mole enchiladas, the fish and chicken tacos and we tried the churros and cafe ☕️ de olla – we paid about $70 which is a bit pricey, but you’re paying for quality! Decent portions and hands down good Mexican food!

I may have found my new favorite spot

I had the pleasure of dining at Casa Lola recently, and the experience was simply delightful. The ambiance was vibrant and welcoming, reflecting the lively spirit of the cuisine.

To start, I ordered the guacamole, and it was outstanding. Fresh avocados mixed with just the right amount of lime, cilantro, and diced tomatoes made for a creamy, flavorful dip. Paired with their crispy tortilla chips, it was a perfect appetizer that set the tone for the meal.

Next, I indulged in the shrimp tacos, which were absolutely delicious. The tacos were filled with perfectly seasoned, grilled shrimp, topped with a fresh slaw and a tangy sauce that enhanced the dish beautifully. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and the soft tortillas were a great choice, holding everything together without falling apart.

To wash it all down, I opted for the watermelon margarita. This refreshing drink was a true highlight! The balance of sweetness from the watermelon and the tanginess of the lime was divine, making it a perfect complement to the spicy and savory dishes.

Overall, Casa Lola exceeded my expectations. The combination of exceptional food and and beautiful atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend visiting Casa Lola for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Mexican food.

Casa Lola is a really beautiful Mexican restaurant with tasty dishes and really good drinks. Recently came here with a friend for happy hour after work on a Wednesday. We sat at the bar and the restaurant was decently packed for a weekday. The hostess was super nice and friendly and the bartender was helpful too.

I ordered the martini de olla and thought it was goo, nothing crazy or unique, but tasty. My friend got the mangoñada and the luna morada. Both of her drinks were super tasty and I would get one of those next time. We got chips and salsa and they brought us complimentary chicharrones. I ordered the sopa azteca which I thought was delicious and a generous portion. My friend got carne asada tacos à la carte and said they were delicious. I don’t recommend ordering tacos à la carte because the tacos came out more expensive than ordering the taco plate ($7.50 per taco).

It was really beautiful inside the restaurant and it was cute seeing the multiple birthday celebrations. They also had a sign outside that there is parking for $2 at a specific location but we couldn’t find it. Would be back for happy hour again!

This place is beautiful. The food is delicious and the service is attentive. I would not listen to the other reviews . Made a reservation and arrived 1 hr early after my brother’s graduation from Sac State. They accommodated a group of 15. We kept adding to our party and the hostess was genuinely helpful and accommodating.. thank you so much for allowing us to celebrate freely. I highly recommend this place. I love the music and love how they celebrate everybody’s birthday and special occasion. . I had the watermelon margarita so delicious and tasty fish tacos. Yummy chips and guac are so filling and flavorful The service was fast so I don’t know what the other people are complaining about. Portions are right size! We arrived hungry my mom‘s blood sugar was low and they made sure they got her food out immediately.

Don’t think i’ve been to a Mexican Restaurant quite like Casa Lola. It was pretty busy but was able to be seated and servers remained pleasant and helpful. Great Menu options with authentic Mexican favorites. Dined with friends of Mexican decent and consistently commented on flavors hitting the mark with generous portions. The Enchilada with Mole was sooooo good and chicken fajitas was delicious/ Tortilla chips were crispy and light paired with the best Guacamole, couldn’t stop eating them. My cousin noticed the they serve Mexican wines and good mezcal. We’ll be back! 🙂

Service was great. Everyone was very warm, welcoming, attentive. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I was heading out. They were making sure I was satisfied with the service and food. The food was delicious. I had the enchiladas verde, horchata, and camarones. 5/5. Definitely recommend. I will definitely comeback to try their mole, and tres leches that was suggested to me today. Very happy with this place. Definitely supporting this local business was a great find.

I had the salmon al pastor which was salmon on a bed of roasted vegetables with beans and rice. This was quite possibly the best salmon dish I’ve ever had! Absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was upscale modern Mexican – very nice. Restrooms were very clean. The only thing I would change is, rather than the chicharrones served at the beginning, I would prefer chips and salsa.

Its a shame that such a fun restaurant has such small bland portions. The employees are very nice and accommodating. I have no issue with the service. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere. Everyone there seemed happy to be there. Maybe if they hired a new cooking staff it would be better? A cook that uses authentic Mexican spices and doesnt over salt. I probably wouldn’t eat there again.

This New Sacramento downtown eatery is a treat. The services was quick with a smile. The fresh made margarita was spot on. The carne asada fajita was a delicious balanced dish with the homemade corn tortilla. The finish was sweet and delicious, carmel flan. 5 of 5 fork rating. Please join them for your next meal out! Cheers
