Completely neglected at our table. We deciphered that we were not the proper skin tone for this place to care to treat us as paying guests. Upon leaving, we also noticed large posted warning statements about them being against ICE and law enforcement in their establishment, and suddenly it all made sense. Still tipped them more than 18%, but probably won’t go back. The food was honestly, meh… Unless you get breakfast tacos. The chips were freshly stale. The beans and rice felt undeserving of restaurant presentation in South Texas. Just no. BTW, it seemed better a year ago, no cap. Maybe ownership or management changed? IDK, but keep your politics and prejudice away from your paying clients, take more care in the service (we had to ask for menus after 10 minutes, then had to get up after our food was already out, late by the way, and walk to the front to get forks), and we suggest they put more effort into fresh food, including the sides. Also, we got no refills on drinks, none were offered. Nope.. I talked myself into it… not going back. Nah.

I had a combo plate and couldn’t chew the beef. The chicken and shrimp was good. My husband had ground beef which he liked. The beans, guac, chips and salsa were excellent. Take a jacket though, they keep it chilly.

Stopped in here super late while driving into port lavaca to get a bite to eat. Friendly people and the food was excellent. The orange hot sauce is for sure spicy so be mindful of it and the others had a good bite to them. We got #13 flautas and the mini carne asada taquitos, both had great flavor. Affordable price for 2 people and would come here again.

Fajita is super salty. My husband enjoyed it. Beans and rice were okay. I ordered tortilla soup that I could not eat. Flavor was not good cold Pico de gallo and what looked to be actual lettuce not cilantro was put into Luke warm soup making it cold soup. With very very salty (maybe Fritos) as tortilla strips. Bones, skin , and tendons left on chicken in soup was very offputting. I give 3 stars because they did not charge me for the soup I didn’t eat and I appreciate that. They were pretty busy but the waitress never returned after our food was served. We had to walk to the counter to request check to pay. Maybe she noticed I set my plate aside and wasn’t happy with my food so she avoided us. Not sure but it seemed like all tables around us were tended to great.

Place was clean, server was friendly and prompt, food came out quickly. The bloodymary, queso, chips and salsa were all delicious. We had 2 hot plates but couldve easily split one and got full. Prices were great. We spent 49 bucks for 2 hot plates, a huge bloody Mary, queso, and a tea. Only negative I had was we werent sure if we were supposed to pay at table or at the front and waited quite a while for waitress to come back to ask her. She never did so we just went up front and we didnt get to see our bill. I would definitely go back!

We’ve been there three times while staying in PL. The only reason we’ve gone there is because the little restaurant next door is often closed. I do like that they have a drive thru but there is definitely a wait. The food isn’t great we have had way better Mexican food and at way better prices. The service is horrible, the staff is not friendly. I ordered a tostada and by the time we got home the tostada itself was so soggy no crunch at all, and the amount of toppings they put on it was pitiful there was hardly anything on it. The burrito wasn’t great either, the food was a mess.

Friendly establishment that serves amazing tacos. They have this extremely spicy sauce (may be Habanero) and it is absolutely perfect! We ordered two trays worth of tacos, birria and asada. The staff are friendly and the spot is charming. One of the few places in Port Lavaca that serves decent mexican food.
