Pros:
Food was still good and arrived in a timely manner.
Staff was very nice and polite
Restaurant was clean
Husband got the mahi mahi tacos which he said had a smokey taste to them! They should put that in the description, because I didn’t care for it as much as he did. Chris our you g waiter was very sweet! Margaritas we’re good, 2 for $8.00 (12oz)
We’ll go again and try some other stuff!!
When we were there, we asked about the chili relleno being gluten free and the server went back to the kitchen and asked. It is gluten free if they sub out the salsa for the cheese. It was the best chili relleno ever! What is pictured is only half the order…it came with two peppers and the meal is huge…big enough to share for sure! My stepson had a burrito and also thought it was delicious. Absolutely amazing in every way. We highly recommend. Support this fantastic family restaurant!
Mexican rice is super important because I eat it with everything Mexican. Their rice was good, not the best but 4/5 good. I like that their food was salted!!! But I like salt so it was perfect for me… if you’re someone whom shouldn’t have tooo much salt, I’m not sure what you’d say of this. The only thing that needed salt was the house chips and salsa but lucky for you, there is salt and pepper on the table for obvious reasons.
I ordered the California Nachos. I’ll admit I was really disappointed when I saw it, but I figured i would give it a try. It was about 10 tortilla chips with beans chicken and cheese on top – not what I imagined, not worth the $11.99 in my opinion but ♀️ ♀️ Food costs are high, I get it I guess.
My daughter got the Philly cheesesteak burrito.. she described it as “Mid” which means it was just ok. It didn’t blow her away.
My husband got the Mocajete which is usually good no matter where you get it, he had no complaints but he also wasn’t blown away.
The frozen margarita separated as soon as he poured the extra shot of tequila in it.
The cheese dip could’ve used more milk, it got solid pretty quickly. The spinach dip was better, only had a few pieces of spinach in it though.
There are 2 different cheese dips, the white queso and the yellow. The white is was got solid real fast. It was super tasty though don’t get me wrong. As long as you can eat it all in 5-10 minutes.
The yellow queso was pretty good also.
The French fries for the kiddos were good, like McDonald’s fries if you like that.
Those were the cons….
Overall the food was properly spiced and it definitely isn’t the worst restaurant.
It feels like a commercial restaurant which was a little disappointing.
I will stick to my hole in the wall Mexican restaurants.
Oh! Our waiter and waitress was amazing. They checked on us a lot but not too much! A+++ for customer service! Loved it!
Coming back to edit my review. We’ve been coming here for 7 months. This is still my absolute favorite restaurant. I had my birthday dinner here. I always want to go here for date nights. As you can see from my pic, we also get it to go after long days at work.
For the reviews saying the food is bland: I grew up with a Mexican dad. I was always told authentic Mexican food is supposed to be bland. However, I think the flavor is amazing with everything we’ve ever gotten.
Service is always amazing and fast. We’ve never had a bad experience or bad food here.
Original Review: They have the best food! I always get the carne asada street tacos and try whatever my husband gets and it’s always been so good.
I’m from Texas and this food is close to border food. Bien Rica la comida gracias thanks guys
