My wife and I used to love this place. However this time, our food cam on a plate ( not sizzling in a pan) and was Luke warm for a moment then all cold. Maybe a bad day for them? New ownership..? Idk, was not pleasant today. As a person who went to culinary school, this was disappointing.

We took our special needs son here for dinner and were really impressed with every part of the experience. Very friendly service, food was fresh, hot and fast. The establishment was very clean and well decorated and our waiter Adrian was top notch. I shared an Fajitas Durango Style entree with my son and my husband had a steak quesadilla. Our total was just over $40 with plenty of leftovers to bring home.

Ordered the lunch beef fajita plate. Moved here from Texas. This is not your standard fajita meat and no flavor, guacamole was turning brown, rice and beans didn’t have much flavor, salsa was sauce, chips were just ok and the tortillas were undercooked. Empacho (indigestion or worse) waiting to happen. I threw it out. Don’t bother.

Had delivery from Casa Grande. My husband was thoroughly satisfied with his beef chimichanga, but my chili rellenos were the worst I ever had. The peppers tasted like they were canned green chilis, and they were stuffed with potatoes instead of cheese. There was very little pepper and a lot of potato. Perhaps other dishes are better, but I cannot recommend the chili rellenos at all. For the price, I think they need to step up their game. Service was by DoorDash.

Passing through on a work trip to Fairfield and stopped in. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
I got two beef chimichangas with rice and beans and they were very good.
Their house salsa was of the wetter variety, also very good. Their chips were a little thicker and crunchier than I am used to which was positive in my book.
Would definitely recommend!

Order two entrees and two margaritas to go. One of the margaritas wasn’t even half way filled in the cup and the mushrooms on my entrees weren’t cooked. I’ve given the benefit of the doubt to this place multiple times but I’ve decided enough enough. If you’re in Knoxville, Iowa, stop out at Monarcas instead. You get more for your money for less than you’d spend at Case Grande. $71 and I got slop.
