I asked the Queen what she wanted to do for her birthday. Casa Grande. We pass it every day, but today was our first time there. It was a great experience.
The service was great. Quick and friendly. The food was outstanding. Hot and delicious. The drinks were mixed just right. A great balance of ice, alcohol, and flavor.
I only had one small ding, but as a business owner, I completely understand the why behind it, so I wouldn’t ruin a 5 ⭐ review for something so small.
My son has found his new favorite spot for chicken quesadillas. My wife and I found a new place for date days.

Absolutely the most disgusting burrito I’ve ever had in my life. The burrito was on a plate drenched in what looked like SpaghettiOs sauce, long string steak and hard rice on the inside, and a tablespoon of sour cream on top of old lettuce to top it off. The waitress was nice, that’s about all the good though.

New Year’s Eve, the restaurant owner hired their typical Thursday night karaoke DJs to come from 6pm-12am to ring in the new year. A lot of the regulars, changed plans to be a part of the celebration at our regular spot. The owner was obviously intoxicated when he made these plans on the Thursday night prior. Anyway, the owner being flakey, per usual, decided to shut the karaoke down at 10p with no explanations and proceeded to kick, all the paying customers, out of the restaurant. Even if you had not gotten your food, you had to pay up and get out. As you can imagine this left many folks confused and angry. Due to the high emotions, one of the regular karaoke people made a VERY DISTASTEFUL comment directed to the restaurant staff, and here’s where things really went wild….
A family member of the restaurant owner proceeded to BEAT the daylights out of a gentleman probably 30 years his senior, slamming his head into the concrete floors. A family friend was trying to pull him off of the guy, successfully separated them, then the attacker turns on the gentleman trying to separate them. Then as the older guy was walking out, the family member charged the old guy again, throwing him on the concrete and continuing to fight out front. The cops came, the family friend of over 20+ years was arrested for trying to break up a fight. No one else was arrested….. Not even the family member who VICIOUSLY attacked the older gentleman who ended up in the ER with a severe concussion.

This place is amazing!! I used to come here all the time when I was little, like 15 years ago. It’s better than I remember!! The waitress was great and the other staff were as well. The food was so great we all left very full and satisfied. The fish tacos were really really good!! It took them around 5 minutes to stay our party of 8.

I’m going off the fact it was may 5th, so I will go back and give it a second chance. I went off an online review that said they were having a comedy show and karaoke. I get there a bit late, miss the show, no problem there. When I get to the front of the line, I say party of 2. I’m not asked if I want the bar. If I want to see the stage for the karaoke, I’m seated at a wet table next to the restroom, under an ac vent blowing cold air, with no silverware. After a while I get up to use the restroom it’s 3 stalls I go to the far end with the changing table in it only to find the table is broke clearly has been for a while and instead of fixing or removing it they/guests have stuck tissue in it to try to hold it up. I walk out, get back to my Simi dry table, takes 10 mins to get a hello (It’s the 5th they get a pass). Once we finally order, we put in drinks with water and food all at once. As we wait (another 30+ mins), we notice a group that came in behind us got food and drinks and is already eating. We happen to order damn near the same thing. So I was a bit confused. about 10 minutes or so later, my food is brought out 3 to 5 minutes later, my partners meal. Why not bring both? I don’t know the same dish, just different meat. The food looked amazing. Sadly, my guest did not enjoy it and was already fed up that we asked for the bill about 5 minutes after receiving our food. I wouldn’t recommend going on a holiday as I think they still need some training. Lunch break and small parties have at it. Also they mixed old and new chips with the salsa some were fresh others not so much.

I did the 3 tacos (2 carne asada, 1 chorizo) they were phenomenal so much flavor , the meat was tender, everything was fresh & hot! The rice is good and flavorful! The paintings inside are beautiful! The service was fast and friendly! Highly recommend you come here !!! You will not be disappointed!!!

This is it. This is the family restaurant you are looking for. My family has frequented this place for YEARS and without fail, the food is good quality, we receive it quick despite being a big family, and the waiters are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is calm and quiet while still being a great place to come to even if you have little ones. There isn’t a bunch of ruckus or noise so it’s great for conversational dinners. You get free chips and salsa at the beginning of your meal as well. Usually I don’t like Mexican American, or not at other places, but Casa Grande is right EVERY TIME. Their rice isn’t dry, or lettuce is crispy not brown. Definitely recommend you try, it’s one of my favorite affordable and tasty eat-in places here in Henrico.
