Okay. So I was going to give Casa Garcia’s a four star until I saw what happened to a neighboring table. More on that later.

To start: I don’t believe that restaurants should be blasted if their food isn’t my preference. Casa Garcia’s is def not my preference, but to be clear their food isn’t bad.

For context, Casa Garcia’s is on the wealthier side of an old German town in a with a predominantly older demographic. I think Casa Garcia provides good TexMex while knowing who their typical clientele is.

When my husband and I arrived (11 am on Saturday) there were only 5 or so tables full. When we asked for a booth, we were seated in perhaps the largest booth they offered. It could easily have sat 6 people.

I ordered the beef fajita Chimichanga ($20) and my husband ordered the Carne Guisada enchiladas ($16). We also got queso (sm -$10) and guac ($11) for the table.

A recurring theme was that everything had a very smooth texture. Guac was very blended. Queso had little to no inclusions. Chimichanga rice and beans were very mashed. Another theme, nothing was very seasoned strongly.

The food itself wasn’t bad, but it is not how I like my TexMex. I can see this being a big hit with people who like Mexican offerings, but perhaps with less of a bite.

The final decision though on three stars was that although there were only 5 or so tables full and at least two servers, a neighboring table had to get up and ask to be served. After an underwhelming food offering, seeing that happen was really disappointing.

We won’t be back, but if you like mild textures and low-spice, I think Casa Garcia could be for you.

Wonderful food and drinks. Patio outside and dog friendly. Big menu options and good pricing. Great stop for a quick bite or big group family celebrations.

I do not typically write reviews but I feel like I need to say something. We have been coming to Casa Garcias for 5+ years and have always had a decent experience (hence why we go back). However, we went this past Friday (party of 4 adults and 2 toddlers). We sat outside so the kids could play on the playground. The server forgot about us multiple times and had to go in and ask her to come outside and take our order. Over an hour later the food finally arrives and it was cold (like it had been sitting in the kitchen waiting to be brought to the table). Then when it does arrive somebody from the back brings it out to our table and walks away so I had to serve the food to the table. The food was cold and mid at best. Then to add insult to injury they added an 18% gratuity to our bill even though we were only a party of 4 (two separate checks). They have lost a loyal 5+ year customer as I will not be going back. For one meal, one appetizer, one marg, and a guacamole was over $80 and by no means was that meal even worth that. We would have been better off going to Taco Bell down the street.

I watched this place being built a few years back and finally made it by here to try. I just got the combo fajitas and added the shrimp and beans. The food was pretty good. I would give the food a 4 star rating. The beef and chicken had good flavor and were not dry or tough. The shrimp was ok. Beans and rice were good. Salsa was good. The problem came from the service. I was here for 1 hour and 18 minutes. During that time, I only saw my server on her own when she took my order. I had to go to the bar to ask for a refill on my tea, after it was empty for 30 minutes. The adjacent server had to get her from the front desk where she was flirting with some guy to get my ticket. She did this on her own because she saw how long I had been sitting here. The place was not busy, as you can see by the picture of my server at the front counter. The rest of the staff appeared to be attentive. My server was too busy flirting with customers and the male workers. For a $40+ ticket, you would think you would get a little better service. I tipped the other server and the bartender for their help.

Ordered tacos to go and sat in the parking lot to eat. I ordered a carne guisada taco and ate a few bites and it was too salty and a not even hot. I also ordered a potato and egg taco and took a bite and was like ok this one is warm too, but needs salsa. I opened it up and see what looks like a roach in my taco.

The manager was nice enough and apologized and refunded us for our food.

We LOVE Garcias! It’s one of our regular date night spots and the icing on the cake is getting to see our all time favorite waiter, Bugs! He is the best! He always takes such great care of us and makes sure everything is perfect! Stop by and try the shrimp enchiladas and ask to sit in Bugs section! You won’t be disappointed!

I attended a surprise birthday party that was in the private room. It was nice. The room was good, kind of tight, but there were a lot of people. We had 1 waitress, who did a fabulous job, taking care of us. The music was a little loud so we had to talk over the music to be heard. They were kind enough to switch the TV channel, so some could watch the collage baseball world series. The food was alright, big portions.

My wife and I get there at about 8:30 and sit and it’s not too busy it almost isn’t in the morning. But as we waited which wasn’t bad, Amanda took our order and all was okay. We then waited 40 minutes for her to come back to us and ask us if we wanted the check! Like how the hell does that make sense if we haven’t had our food yet but other tables that got there after us with more people got food. A table of 8 was already done eating by the time we got our food which we had to ask a whole different waiter to get our food for us! No check ups or anything else after we got our food like I know they knew we were mad but who wouldn’t be! Honestly didn’t tip at all and honestly didn’t want to pay at all but I ate the food! Terrible I lived going here but that woman honestly sucks! Even if it wasn’t her fault we would have understood but how do you not come back and ask us how we doing!?! Just terrible all around but it’s cool I’m not going back

CHECK PRICES ON THE MENU AND PRICES ON UR RECEPT WHEN U READY TO PAY. MENU PRICES ARE NOT ACCURATE AND THEY DONT HONOR THEM.

Editing my review on (12/21/22) because of restaurant experience.

Good service. Good food. Fast service. Clean inside and outside. Coffee is good. Tortillas are great. Soft and warm and fresh. Great tortillas. Prices are good. The only thing I didn’t like was the salsas. They are good. But to my standards are generic salsas. Nothing that will make u enjoy your taco better.
