Casa Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant’s & Cantina is a premium restaurant chain that started in 1999 with seven locations. Our extensive menu offers something for everyone, and our customers rave about our margaritas. We pride ourselves on serving only the freshest food, made on a daily basis. Additionally, our restaurants make homemade flour and corn tortillas to provide a unique dining experience. With our passion for cooking, it’s no surprise that our food has gained a reputation as some of the best Mexican cuisine available.

Brought two starving teens on a Sunday at noon. We were seated within minutes and our server Sebastian was attentive immediately. We got queso, chips, & salsa within minutes of being seated. Both teens got the tamale plate with a beef taco on the side and I got a shrimp quesadilla. Our server, Sebastian, checked in on us, joked with us, and was very entertaining. Also he was very honest when we asked about what dessert we should get and why. My teens called him “the goat” and said he had “aura” so I’m pretty sure that’s all good. We had a wonderful experience and the food was good.

To go meals spent over $160.00 and no chips and hot sauce on to go orders they asked for 7.99 for one small sack of chips and small bowl of hot sauce. Ordered cheese enchiladas and received beef enchiladas. The waiter was very nice. I had to argue to chips so sad. The food is really good

We ordered, even after our food was taken by an Uber Eats Driver, worth $90 worth of food! Seems like the verification process is none! How did they not make them approve the pick up and leave with my food?! On that day, I called, and an Employee by the name of Crystal, (which might not of even been her name) stated she gave the food to a Driver. I asked her if she could help me, and all she said was, “I’m sorry, there is nothing I can do?!” As someone who has worked in Customer Service all my life, that’s actually the worst thing she could have said to a Customer! Today, we ordered again, just to give the benefit of the doubt, and the Fajita’s barely came with ANY beef. (I truly wish I could attach an image to show you!) Who pays $17 for a plate of Fajita that is so small proportioned?! You are better off going to Conejo’s TexMex across the way on 183. They give better quantity & quality. I can’t believe I still gave them the benefit of the doubt, EVEN AFTER being taken advantage of my Families order, of almost $100 worth of food! Shame on me! Shrimp Cocktail did not taste fresh at all, matter of fact it tastes like the Cocktail sauce was going bad, the shrimp tacos did not look seasoned & the Flauta Plate had no flavor; the chicken had no salt, or even seasonings at all! I was so excited for Casa Garcia’s to open in Leander/Georgetown, because I have been a fan prior to this location, but at this point, I would NOT recommend! Take your Business elsewhere, not even worth it.

Good food, clean, fair price, waiter was nice, but they seemed understaffed. We waited quite a while to order our food after getting drinks (margaritas). The food was delivered very quickly once ordered, like 4-5 minutes. The waiter never returned to see if we wanted more drinks, which we did. We then had to wait a while to pay. But, all in all, we enjoyed the food and had a pleasant experience.

We ordered a to-go meal, and unfortunately, the food was horrible. It honestly tasted like dog food (see pictures). The rice was the only thing even remotely edible. The queso was okay, but it clearly tasted like it came from a can.
The menu pictures are also very deceiving. I ordered the queso because it looked like white cheese, but what we got was a yellow Velveeta-style sauce. The quesadilla was literally like a rubber disc, completely inedible. We spent $60 on inedible food. I would’ve rather gotten McDonald’s.
The only positive part of the experience was the customer service, the guy who took our order over the phone was super nice. Other than that, I definitely wouldn’t recommend eating here.

I am so glad we found this place near our home. It was really good. We had a great time there. The staff were really friendly and they really treated us well.
Food was very good. They have some really great vegetarian options too.
My husband had the Chicken Enchiladas and I had the vegetarian fajitas. It was really good. Tasted very fresh and delicious. It’s like how we cook at home. It wasn’t too oily too.
They also had great desserts but we were so full we decided to try it next time.
A great place to frequent if you live nearby.

Ordered food online yesterday 10/1. Husband went to go pick it up and he noticed the sign on the door as he was leaving. We didn’t feel comfortable eating the food with a failing inspection score. Didn’t eat the food and wanted a refund. Called to ask for a manager around 5:30pm and was told there was no manager available and he would call us back. Never did. Fast forward to today 10/2- I call the restaurant and get a hold of the manager. He told me that he can’t help me cause the issue happened yesterday and told me to call the corporate office. I said I was supposed to get a call yesterday but never did. Still said he can’t do anything and to call corporate. I call corporate (Esme is amazing) and got the refund. She said a manager should’ve been there so I guess he was just avoiding the call.
Very unsatisfied with how the manager treated the situation. Won’t be coming back.
Also 2 failing scores within 2 weeks?? Why are they still open?

Mid – I’ve been to this location twice and I can comfortably say the food at this place is the very definition of “mid.” Not bad, not good just mid.
The enchilada sauce didn’t have much flavor, the refried beans didn’t have much flavor. The crispy taco was just ok, and their Salsa is comparable to tomato in a can.
Maybe other dishes are better?
The servers are pretty good, but I ordered a side of tortillas last night and somehow they didn’t make it to me. I didn’t pay the bill so I’m not sure if they made it on the receipt of not.
Would I avoid this place?
No, but its on the bottom of the list of where I’d like to eat.

I had a great experience at the Casa Garcias Leander location. The food came out hot and flavorful, and the service was even better. The team seemed really organized, and you can tell the manager runs the place well — he was checking on tables, helping staff, and keeping everything running smoothly without ever seeming rushed. It’s rare to see that level of leadership in a busy restaurant. Definitely one of the better dining experiences I’ve had in the area.

Food is awesome and hits the spot every time. The special with two enchiladas, rice, beans, queso in a chip bowl, a taco and guacamole for $15 can’t be beat I feel. Margs are alright and they do have awesome happy hour specials. I do think the price they advertise for a beer bucket is a bit much. Their barbacoa and tortillas are my favorite so far in Leander. I suggest changing your enchilada sauce to the chili con carne.
Staff can be friendly or just straight to the point which I appreciate both. Just be ready to eat when you put your order in, food comes out stupid fast. They have a huge indoor area as well as a large bar as well. We typically like to sit on the patio with our dog who is well behaved. The staff always makes a point to bring her water as well.
We are still checking out the other places in the area but currently this has been our go to spot.
