If I could come here every day for lunch I would. Lovely waitresses and delicious authentic food. Consumé served before the meal was a great touch which directed me to get Birria tacos as well as the fresh chips and salsa. Dessert at the end just because I wanted to see how it stacked up with the rest of the meal. It did not disappoint. A place like this makes me want to pass through town more often.

Casa El Camino in La Mesa, New Mexico, offers an exceptional dining experience that beautifully showcases traditional Guadalajaran cuisine.

One of the standout features of Casa El Camino is their signature drink, the Cantarito. This refreshing beverage not only delights the palate but also comes in a distinctive cup that, for a small additional fee, patrons can take home as a memorable keepsake.

The service was excellence. The staff was attentive and friendly, and our dining experiences was enhanced by the warm and inviting atmosphere created by the team. The manager was a true leader and helped his staff as a leader should do.

The facility is craftfully created and the exterior is a gem. The bar area is quite unique as it has the back end of an el Camino. We went on a live music night and he was fantastic!

I would whole heartedly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone driving through La Mesa.

What an amazing place! Fast, Friendly, Clean, AMAZING FOOD and portions. We randomly stopped in for dinner and were blown away. Found out during our meal that they are open on Saturday and Sundays for breakfast…. we came back the very next morning for Breakfast and that didn’t disappoint either!

It was the second time there, the first time everything was very good but today the service was bad, the waitress had a not really good attitude and at the kitchen there were yelling and using bad words in Spanish, the music was low and their voice to loud. We receive chips and salsa after our breakfast and we had to ask for it. It is a good place to eat for the food but today, we are thinking about visiting again. We ate flautas, pancakes, sirloin skillet and coffee.

On a Sunday drive to Mesilla, we noticed by how the large and ample parking was filling with cars. I also was impressed as well by the decor and how clean the dining area was.
The menu selection was very extensive for a Mexican food restaurant as you can see by a copy of the menu. My food was brought hot and tasty from the kitchen as our efficient waitress, Desiree, made sure we were well catered to. The food portions were quite ample. The side of guacamole was too spicy for my taste, but otherwise I had a very satisfying and relaxing experience.
Highly recommend this as a stop on Hiway 28 just outside of Mesilla, New Mexico

Amazing spot. Worth the drive from El Paso! Food was tasty and great portions. My drinks never went dry before I got a refill. Try the Cantarito, you can take home the beautiful clay jars the drinks come in!
