Tinsel and Tequila is a great holiday pop up….only problem is it’s still advertised online between Xmas and new years but it’s technically over. The decorations are still up and they are super festive. But, we were not given the holiday cocktail list and when we requested it we were told they are no longer offering it. It’s Dec 29 and we were on our last hurrah of pop ups so fully expected all the things. Luckily, our server was also the bartender and could still offer a few of the special items. The drink served in the Xmas tree was good (basically, it was a painkiller). The Christmas Vacation cocktail was ok. I wouldn’t order it again. Just nothing special. The Oaxacan Snow globe was a huge hit but for some reason it did not get served with the smoke bubble.. it was a fantastic cocktail though.
The queso, carne asada fries, and empanadas were amazing. We also had the chicken fajitas which were ok..the chicken was kinda burnt.
Overall, it was a fun dinner with mostly highs, no lows but a couple mediocrities.

My wife I stopped in Richmond during a recent trip to checkout the Riverwalk. We decided to have lunch before we got back on the road, so we had a very nice meal at Casa Barco. We enjoy Mexican cultural foods and were not disappointed by our decision. Our meal was excellent and Mandy our server was very attentive and provided excellent service. We loved the atmosphere and our overall experience. We will definitely stop back for another great meal.

We had such a great experience from our waitress, Emily!! She was so sweet and kind from the moment we sat down. She made us feel welcome and taken care of the whole time.
She was friendly, attentive, and was a blast. The food was delicious, but her wonderful service really made our visit special.

Our table was sticky and dirty when we were seated. We had no utensils when our meal arrived and couldn’t eat until we flagged someone down to bring us utensils. The salsa was mediocre, but the chips were perfectly salty and crispy. The outdoor patio views and entryway decor were really nice. I’d probably try eating here again in the future. Maybe they were just having a bad night.

Our waitress EMILY was an absolute icon. Drinks never hit empty. Chips refilled like she had a sixth sense. She appeared exactly when needed — like a margarita guardian angel. At one point I’m convinced she teleported.
Friendly without being fake. Attentive without hovering. Funny without trying too hard. The kind of service that makes you sit back and think, “Wow… this is how it’s supposed to be.”
If this restaurant is smart, they are protecting her at all costs. Give her a raise, a crown, and a reserved parking spot.
10/10 would return purely for the vibes and the elite-level service.

One of the best places in RVA. Food is delicious and abundant, service is super nice and the atmosphere is unmatched! The kid’s menu of quesadillas was really enjoyed by our toddler. I suggest trying the empanadas as appetizer, definitely a must!

Casa del Branco was such a gem! The location right on the canal is adorable — I sat inside, and the space was beautifully decorated and full of charm. It’s definitely a cute spot for a date night or dinner with friends.
That said, the real highlight was the food. I ordered the margarita flight and had so much fun trying their specials — 10/10 experience if you can’t decide on just one flavor.
We started with the traditional queso and chips. It was good overall, just a little thick in consistency for my preference, but still tasty.
The absolute star of the night was the carne asada fries — perfection. You could truly taste the char from the grill on the meat, and the flavors were incredible. Easily my favorite dish.
We finished with the dynamite shrimp tacos and steak tacos, and both were so good. Every bite was packed with flavor.
The portions were generous — we ordered for two people and still had plenty left over. I truly enjoyed the entire meal and will absolutely be returning. Highly recommend!

Very attentive waitress. Great food, very pretty atmosphere. Free small dessert for birthdays. Had the birria tacos and shrimp tacos, both were very tasty. The 3 amigos appetizer is very worth it! Best guac, queso, and salsa I have had by far.
