I only get the Chile Verde and I’ve been getting it for years.. It’s the best and you get a generous amount of food.. I’ll probably eat this 3 times at least twice..

Hands down the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. If you’re trying to decide between Casa De Soria or another restaurant, go here. The hospitality is unmatched; either the manager or owner (I’m not sure) opened the door for us upon arrival and was so so so kind. The service was quick, we were never left waiting and the staff seemed to know exactly when we’d need something. Their timing is perfect. They refilled our chips and salsa without us having to ask. The food is incredible. We walked in already full and were really only there for drinks but ended up leaving our plates clean. Speaking of the drinks, they were also incredible. I had mojitos and my husband had margaritas, so good. I wish we had caught everyone’s names because I’d love to highlight the incredible staff that helped us. Just an absolutely incredible experience, and I will be recommending this restaurant to everyone I know. I’m from Westlake Village but I will gladly be making the trek to Ventura to dine with them again!

excellent staff, cute decor, but seems VERY overpriced. th3 fresh tortillas were fantastic. the beñuelos were just cinnamon fried tortilla chips, good but $8 was outrageous. the fried ice cream was good especially with the coconut coating, but also overpriced. my chile relleno was good. their rice and beans also good.

Very tasty food except for the chicken enchilada. It was flat like a pancake with a little bit of dark meat in it and not fresh tasting. Portions were small, not how it used to be there. My chili relleno was the size of the palm of my hand, I would have liked more beans, and my taco came with no lettuce or tomato. Anyway, it was busy and it took kind of long for my food to arrive. My waiter was very nice although he didn’t ask how everything was until I was leaving. It was the cashier who served me. Two months ago, lunch there was great. The portions were bigger, and the chicken enchilada had white shredded chicken in it, covered with lots of sauce and cheese. That’s what I came back for this time and didn’t get. The three item combo with tax and tip came to about $28.

I’m not sure if we just caught them on a bad day, but the service was disappointing. It took about 10 minutes before anyone offered us drinks, and we had to ask multiple times just to get our water refilled. On the plus side, the food was delicious. Unfortunately, we couldn’t really get a sense of the atmosphere since we were seated all the way in the back—possibly because we had kids with us.

The chicken mole enchiladas taste great, a little bit of spice. The price at this time was $16.50. You get free chips and salsa, and the salsa is mild. I got a small side of guacamole for $5. It tasted smooth and has a hint of fresh orange juice. Are waiter Bobby made my first time coming here, a great experience. I definitely recommend this place. Fast service and quality food. A memorable experience.

Great service from the staff on a Saturday evening. We loved the big margarita glasses. We got the Cadillac and Spicy Classic Margarita.

4.75 stars. I really enjoyed it here. From the salsa and chips, to the food. I absolutely loved the enchiladas, the chile verde (was red) but delicious, and the chile relleno was on point! The tortillas are hand made. The customer service was phenomenal, an A++. The employees were very nice and very attentive. There were two minor tastes I didn’t enjoy; hence the deduction of .25 stars. The beans were good but dry; it was like they blend it till there is no juice at all. Then the horchata, it tasted like the powder packets, added with extra water. I definitely recommend and will go here again.

Food and service was exceptional! From the chips and salsa and bean dip to the Tacos Del Mar and the Ceviche Bowl, we loved it.

Warning for celiacs:
Their handmade corn tortillas are still made with gluten-containing flour! 🙁 They do have store bought corn tortillas as an alternative, but this was disappointing to find out upon my return.
Bomb food!! Fresh handmade corn tortillas, nice and thick. Friendly staff! Excellent Cadillac margs. Fresh veggies, vegetarian beans smashed or whole. Tasty guacamole and salsa rojo or verde A VTA staple since the 1950s.
