I usually order food to go and food has and is always excellent. Today for lunch on my break, my husband and I decided to dine in. We were waited on and sat down immediately. We placed our order and received our food. We sat and watched the waiter be attentive to every table in the restaurant but ours. My husband had to place his glass at the end of the table just to be able to get a refill because not once were we checked on by the waiter for refills. The owner did walk by at the beginning of our service and greeted us and thanked us for coming in. Very disappointed with the dine in experience. No complaints on the food.

Excellent Mexican food, chips and salsa were great. The green sauce they bring out in the bottle is good and spicy. The Texas Flautas, Shrimp &Bacon Quesadilla, Pollo, and Cancun were all excellent. The servers were great, and they were fast with the food. The place was packed, there wasn’t an empty table after we got seated.

My husband and I are truckers that travel the whole continental 48. We found Casa Carlos a few years back when they were in Prescott, AR. We were so sad when we learned that the location in Prescott was closed. When I found this location I was hopeful, but still nervous. Today, we finally had the opportunity to stop by and pick up lunch! As with the Prescott location, we were not disappointed at all! The food was impeccable! So delicious! Well seasoned, cooked thoroughly, but not too much. The portion sizes are great! The ingredients are fresh. The prices are wonderful. We always order enough to make two meals for each of us and usually spend right around or a little less than $50. 4 meals of this quality for less than $15 each? Plus you get delicious chips and salsa even with your to-go orders! Good luck finding these types of prices for this amazing type of food. On top of that the service is outstanding! They are so friendly and still professional. They prepare the food quickly. I am thrilled to see they are thriving with many of the same employees in this new location. Their food is some of the best Mexican food we’ve come across in the entire country! Can’t wait to come back! (Couldn’t help but eat some first before snapping these pics LOL)

We’re so very disappointed in the refusal to adjust our phone order today the way we have done every time we’ve ordered here for the last several years. The young lady taking orders over the phone said they are now unable to up-charge for steak in the Texas Flautas. We asked to speak to someone else as this is a reoccurring order for us and have been told similarly in the past that they cannot do it only to have that person be told by another employee that they can. She returned to the call and stated that unless the owner himself takes the order and approves it they cannot do it.
Not sure if this is just refusal, being unknowledgeable, or if the owner has truly suddenly instituted this new rule.
We went by in person anyway just to confirm, and ordered some nachos instead when a young man said the same thing in person.
Unless Casa Carlos can confirm that this is an error, they have lost a customer in my husband and I unfortunately.
(If it is an error, perhaps having a standard fee for upgrading to or adding steak in a dish, or adding steak as a meat choice for a higher charge as is done with other dishes to the Texas Flautas would be beneficial.)

The food portions were HUGE! Food was so good and not a bad price at all! The building was small and ran out of seating quick but they were fast getting food out and staff was doing their best to keep everything moving I’ll definitely be back!

Casa Carlos used to be in Prescott. We were frequent customers as it has been our favorite place since the day it open sooo many years ago. Last year, it closed and moved to Texarkana. We rarely go that direction, but every year for the past 16 years, our daughter requests Casa Carlos as her birthday meal/celebration.
We walked in the doors today and were immediately greeted, recognized and hugged by Carlos himself! Always in there working like he doesn’t own the place, same as always, even in a new location. It was a blessing to return to our favorite restaurant and be served the most delicious meals and a birthday surprise for our sweet girl’s Sweet 16! If I could give this place ten stars, I would ten times over!
