Such good mexican cuisine with unique twists like the birria grilled cheese. The nachos were massive and such a good starter to split. The service is great but there are a lot of TVs for sports etc. Other than that a great place for the family or if you’re looking for a good margarita!

This place has to work out some kinks.
1. $8 chips is a no-no. These should be free. The cost of this item is dirt cheap, and charging for it while every other Mexican restaurant just serves it up automatically when you sit is crazy.
2. Hard shell Tacos = No food. I shouldn’t get the same amount of food as a Taco Bell order for more money.
The food had good taste, but I felt robbed.
3. Some of the pricing seems crazy for menu items which consist primarily of RICE AND BEANS. Come back to reality.
Expensive for a venue that looks cool on the outside but has you looking at an out of business bowling alley and a gas station.
Will most likely not return.

What an awesome find! I was driving by and hit up the jug handle to try this place. So clean, which is super important to me. The bartender, Amanda was so nice! I submitted an order two different tacos (3 of each protein). There were full of lots of meat! Sometimes I need 10 to 15 tacos because they’re sad but these were filled! I highly recommend the lomo saltado tacos! Full amazing bar as well. Great draft options. The people next to me had a queso dip. I must try when I return. Looks delicious and a good sized portion. I highly recommend this spot for watching games as well. They have big TVs everywhere.

The atmosphere was fine, The Server was very nice. The food was pretty gross. It’s not authentic at all. Guess I shouldn’t expect it to be, because its flavorless lack of color people food, lol Season your carnitas, it was dry as hell, shredded into crumbs with no chunks, and flavorless. The nachos weren’t great, there was only two pieces of pickled jalapeño on the whole thing, a tiny blob of jarred guacamole, and canned nacho cheese sauce not queso. The grease/oil that the nachos were fried was at least a week old. They tasted like old nasty oil. All of the tacos have the tiniest portion of meat. Even the toppings were tiny. Toppings are cheap, they could at least bulk it up with that. Even the rice and beans was a tiny portion and totally not authentic. There was no juice for the beans to sit in and pour over your rice.We won’t go there again there’s no point. When there are so many better options like Pueblo Magico, even a chain like Tios is a million times better! It was pricey for the portions being so tiny! 4 people/meals, 2 adult drinks, 2 kids drinks, 1 app= $175 with tip.
I did not take photos because it wasn’t worth it.

I wanted to share my enthusiastic recommendation for Casa Calaveras. This is truly a standout Mexican restaurant, especially for taco lovers.
The tacos are exceptional, and I particularly appreciate the chef’s creativity in offering a brand new weekly special taco—it always keeps me coming back for more.
Beyond the incredible food, the staff makes the experience truly special. Gabby and Amanda are wonderful bartenders who are always attentive, friendly, and consistently remember my usual order.
If you are looking for a great weekend spot, their Sunday specials are fantastic. They offer great food and drink deals, and with football playing on multiple TVs throughout the restaurant, it’s the perfect place to watch the games.
Highly recommend stopping by!

I came to the Middletown location with my husband and our young daughter and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We waited over an hour for our food before finally asking about our order. At that point, we requested everything be packed to go.
The manager did come over but only offered to comp the chips and guacamole. We understand this was not our server’s fault, but when a ticket has been sitting for over an hour, management should do more to make it right — especially for a family with a little one waiting that long.
To make matters more frustrating, when we got home we realized the order was still incorrect.
Really hoping this was just an off night, but the overall experience was very disappointing.

Dinner last night was great. Started with Sam’s Nachos with steak and the biggest and best nachos I’ve had so far. So many flavors all matched well. The atmosphere is great theirs music playing, sports on many screens, love the open doors allowing the warm breeze in, cornhole out front if you want to get some fun in with the family. The drinks were awesome and the birria grilled cheese so far a fav. Loaded with birria & tasteful. Can’t wait to eat here again.

Was not my favorite Mexican restaurant, rather go to Chilangos in the highlands. Menu was very high priced for what you got, no free chips and salsa and very par food. The margaritas didn’t even have salt or sugar on them. The only thing we liked were the wings.
Wings- a lot of flavor, crunchy and good amount for the price paid.
Nachos- loaded with cheese and that’s it. No other toppings maybe you will get a jalapeño here and a tomato there. Also layered poor, once you past the top layer no more toppings.
Flautas- crunchy but cold.
Margaritas- good flavor but disappointed no salt or sugar on the rim.
Service- our girl seemed like she did not want to be there, nor serve us. She caught an attitude with us because we were still not sure what we wanted to eat the second we sat.
All this being said I’ll try it again in the future knowing that they just opened but highly disappointed with all the hype around it.
Bill- $107 after tip for party of 2.

Lots of great Mexican food options to choose from. The tacos were great and felt very authentic. Service was great and the inside is very clean and new. The main reason for not giving five stars is the price of food and transparency from the staff. I understand with inflation that food costs are high but $16 for chips and guac is pretty high. The portion is big but there’s too many chips so you have a lot of them leftover and nothing to dip them In. Honestly would’ve liked a smaller portion with a lot less chips for $10-$12. The transparency part comes from the server upon seating us said “could I start you off with some chips and guac” before even handing us our menus and my wife made a comment like “oh it must be on the house judging by the way she said it” because she said it in the same way an Italian restaurant would ask to start you off with bread and butter that is on the house. Not really saying I expected it for free but if I knew beforehand that it was $16 chips and guac I wouldn’t have gotten it. Just know going there that it is a little pricey but the food is great and it has a nice atmosphere, I would definitely return!

Cinco de Mayo was in full effect this weekend! The live music was awesome, the drinks were flowing and the food was delicious! Just moved to Middletown and this is def my new favorite Mexican place! The decor is so cute and our waiter Jenna was awesome! We were even visited by Michelle who was super welcoming with an energetic spirit! I could eat my weight in chips and guac and tacos! They even had different alcohol brands offering complimentary shots, who does that?!? Seriously awesome place to be, can’t wait to go back!
