First visit and this is some good Mexican Food. We ordered Casa Bonita Cheese Enchiladas with red sauce, served with rice and beans ($16.99) and Gringo Tacos (3 beef tacos with rice and beans) ($16.99). They also brought us chips and salsa. Everything was tasty. The salsa was chunky and was a little spicier than I usually enjoy but it was really good. The cheese enchiladas were made with white cheese but they were really tasty. I prefer them made with yellow cheese but these were really good. The rice and beans were also really tasty separately and mixed together like I have always done. The Gringo Tacos were soft flour tortillas with ground beef with taco seasoning, lettuce and tomato and also very good.
Service was friendly and attentive.
There is plenty of indoor seating with a combination of tables and booths. There is a bar with seating for 10 and there is seating on a wrap around patio that appears to be heated if needed and has glass garage door windows that can be raised in warmer weather.

Food was good….our waitresses was fantastic…and management goes and messes everything up by throwing a 3% ‘hospitality charge’ on the bill. Family of four and already paying over $100 before tip and you need to squeeze a few more bucks out of me? Outrageous and tacky. Build it into your pricing if it’s that important to you. Will not be back which is a shame for some of the hard working staff there.

My honey and I came here for the first time on Valentines Day. 7:45pm, it seemed to be busy but steady. We were seated right away but waited awhile to be acknowledged. My husband finally said something and the waitress came. She was very nice but busy. We felt forgotten and the food was just ok for us. A lot of our order never came so we settled in with the burritos and called it a night. The red sangria is a true winner, husband said we won’t be back, but I would “cocktail” here with some girlfriends. On a less busy night.

Had delicious food at Casa Bonita. It was a bit more expensive than I would have liked but the quality was worth the price. A wide menu with tasty options. Has a nice looking patio that could be used even in the winter. Staff was attentive and helpful. I recommend dining here.

Tasty food, we loved the little patio setup they have for outdoor dining. It was a tad chilly but we understand that’s what we signed up for wanting to eat outside. The Fiesta Nachos were very delicious, we added some chicken to it and it really have it a nice tang to the appetizer. I went with the Trio enchiladas and my personal favorite was the red one. It has a great blend of flavors and spices. The mango Daiquiri was refreshing and very delicious. The steak had great seasoning and was delicious too. Service was great no issues really. A nice spot for dinner in the heart of Libertyville.

These mahi mahi tacos were below average at best! My fish was grilled and it was overcooked and chewy. Also where is the fish under this cabbage topping and where is my chipotle sauce? The acidity of the green salsa did not compliment the fish at all. The taco was soggy and all the wrong textures. And get this it was $17. Secondly, my Spanish speaking friends thought it was a little rude the waitress checked on them in Spanish individually and did not check on me in English or Spanish or at all really. all in all wouldn’t recommend this dish and I’m not sure I’ll be back.

Food is good but the portions are way too small for the prices. Plus they charge a 3% “hospitality” fee that most people probably don’t request to be removed because it’s only a few dollars, but it adds up. The meat portion in the fajitas is a joke. Can go to many other places nearby for same price but larger portions that are just as good. If you’re going to keep prices that high, add more meat before people stop coming!

I highly recommend their barbacoa and picadillo tacos! All tacos I’ve tried were fully loaded with meat. The beef in the barbacoa is super juicy and soft and really tasty! The same goes with the picadillo. Funny thing is, I actually ordered al pastor but was served with the picadillo instead. I’m so glad I just let it pass and didn’t asked for it to be replaced anymore. Best decision I’ve made that day.
Try their cocktails as well. I’m not a hard drinker so their 28 Mile Mule is a bit too strong for me. But it was still good esp after some melted ice lol.
And they also serve free nacho chips with salsa.

I thought the food was very good. The service was excellent; we were seated right away and the waitress was right there to get our drinks and appetizer order. She checked in regularly and brought drinks and chip refills with no wait at all. We even ordered dessert which is rare because you usually get full but is fun to do anyway. Dessert was really good too!
