I ordered the carnitas tacos, and the pork was incredibly tender and full of flavor. The guacamole was excellent, and the pico de gallo was fresh and well-balanced. They also start you off with chips and fresh salsa, which was a great touch and tasted really good.
Overall, it was a solid dining experience with quality food, a great atmosphere, and plenty of drink options. Definitely a place worth checking out.
Atmosphere: 5/5; very authentic Mexican feel and when I ordered off the menu in the language it was appreciated by the staff.
Food: 3/5; Chips and Queso were delicious.
ACP: I made this an ACPC meal, by adding shrimp. Not the traditional ACC meal I’m used to considering that it wasn’t over a cheese sauce. It was over a red sauce and the cheese was in between the meat and the rice. The chicken was a bit under flavored and could’ve used some more spice in my opinion, and my history with ordering the dish and other authentic Mexican places.
Burrito bowl (carnitas): 2.5/5; My wife gave the burrito bowl a five out of 10, similar notes on the meat being under flavored and the dish itself, not having a ton of flavor and spice. Overall, the food was OK but the atmosphere and the staff more than made up for any downfalls in that area. Definitely a place worth checking out if you’re interested in having authentic Mexican food, but I do hope they add a bit more spice to your dish!
Drinks (4/5): La Paloma was a bit sweet but good, and Presidente margarita was delicious and boozy as it should be with Patron
I ordered the combo plate with a chimichanga and enchilada—absolutely delicious! Both dishes were packed with flavor, and the sauces really stood out—rich, tasty, and full of authentic Mexican taste. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!
